There's going to be late fees/interest

Its all going to be due by April next year (deadline)

Assuming he made less than $91k he pays a rate of 25% which means his 50% of due federal taxes is $11,000 (based on an income of $91k)

If he makes more than $91k it goes up to 28% so its almost the same amount

(there's probably some trickery with deductibles and expenses so $11k would be a high estimate. It could be a lot lower)
