For all the people who complain about those who coddle Chris, a lot of you sure are making excuses for his behavior. He repeatedly crossed a line and rightly got the boot. This is hardly the first time he's made unwanted advances in public, and he's had years to figure out what is or isn't appropriate. Saying these people should have brushed it off just because he wasn't sticking his hand down their pants is ridiculous.

I kinda feel for Chris here. He's quickly rocketed from deeply unpopular to somebody people are extremely glad to see (for various reasons) and for somebody in his position reading all the subtle little social cues must be impossible. Suddenly cute cosplay girls are throwing themselves at him desperate for a picture and he reciprocates that and gets vilified. I've always wished any of our cows the best if they turn their lives around and it seems such a shame for CwC to have a setback like this.

I'm not surprised, though. Before anyone says anything, I doubt Chris was provoked. I shutter to say this but most people there seem to like him. He probably got mad over some dumb regulations over that Sonichu display. Chris autism, sadly has not changed one bit.

Marvin has said a lot of shit about Chris that ended up incorrect. If its a literal observation, yeah he has some local connection to him. Anything else? He is as qualified as anybody else which is not at all.

The plus side is that this was just some garbage con no one really cared about and it gives Chris a chance to learn something. I've asked someone else to talk to him about it because it's a conversation too awkward for me, but hopefully there are other opportunities for him to go to cons. This might be cause for a global convention ban by itself, but maybe not. Every time a convention happens something happens that's interesting. There was no foul play like I initially suspected so in retrospect it's not anything out of the ordinary.

I would suggest that you make a "note for the babysitter" if you arrange or are involved in any other situations where you can help Chris attend and have an enjoyable time at a con. What would be better is if a staff or volunteer, someone you can trust not to fuck around with him, was a semi-guide for him. Not get in his way, but be handy to correct him, so to speak, if he seemed to be going in autism overload mode.

Give the staff or whoever you deal with a good rundown on how he is, how he can react and more importantly how to simply explain things to him so he fully understands. Chris I truly believe, if things are explained to him correctly in a coherent to his autism way, he can exist and not be a problem.

Like you said, it is a learning experience for all and with some trusted help from you and others, Chris can attend future events and enjoy and not get caught up in something that he cannot deal with or doesn't comprehend.

The trolls strike yet again. It's funny that, outside of himself, his biggest trolls over that past several years have been My Little Pony and Twitter troons. And since when has Mew Too been part of his pretend harem? I thought Chris was cucking the thing, who was cool with it.

If he wants to believe something, such as being a famous flirty hot anime princess from whom men and women would love to receive a friendly kiss, he'll tell himself that positivity and optimism and whatever else will overcome it all and he'll get his wish. I fucking hate those ponies.

It’s difficult because they’re basically tricking Chris and feeding his into his delusion that Sonichu is popular for the right reasons and fans want to get attention from the attractive female creator. (And Chris is just acting towards his fans in the way he thinks is appropriate assuming they’re genuine, unironic fans and he’s an attractive female)

For a normal functioning adult it wouldn’t be an issue since he’d understand social norms and that he’s just a novelty guest but Chris isn’t a normal functioning adult and they shouldn’t expect Chris to suddenly behave that way if invited to a con, like @neger psykolog says he probally really needs a minder if he’s going to be a guest or have a stall or whatever.

I used to make a point to go to the TMG show every year. About five years ago and well after they changed venues this show went off the fucking rails and now e-celebs (other than AVGN who lives across the river) are showing up and shitting up what used to be an excellent video game marketplace/meetup.

Almost went this year. Then I saw this thread and was thankful I stayed the fuck away. We finally had one decent show on the East Coast... not anymore. If you did go to this show and are realizing you made a mistake, wander across the parking lot and go to the go-kart place.

ugh i took sleep medication last night and missed the whole damn thing! - that being said maybe powerlevel but i feel like only people who know who CWC is will go up to CWC to converse, get a photo etc. THAT BEING SAID i feel like if you know who CWC is you KNOW what are getting into lol - if i went up (which i would never do with my anxiety alone lol) and ask for a photo with CWC i feel like i would know what i was getting into it ... he would be weird and i would be awkward we would take a photo he would kiss me on the cheek or whatever i would laugh it off smile and thank him for meeting me ... why do people get so offended when he acts stupid? ... he ALWAYS acts stupid! that is probably why you know who he is in the first place! if you cant take awkwardness and someone being far to close to you and asking you weird shit just leave him alone lol ... sorry for the rant just read 30 pages of the thread
