Idk how late I am but ill just say that Immigration has devasated California. We need a physical border now.

California (and most of Arizona and most of New Mexico) already has a physical wall.

It's Texas that doesn't have any physical barrier, because a lot of the unfenced area is horrifically hostile and dangerous xeric scrubland where dozens die every year.

Where most undocumented people enter is through the 25 official crossings along the border usually with work Visas that they eventually overstay with.

it's a very complicated problem that will require better enforcement on all fronts in order to solve. there is no serious effort being made to collect people who overstay their visas and no real consequences being dished out

man this thread is getting too big brained just like carl, maybe he should come here or make a video about it so I can understand
If I were the sort of person who put way too much effort into jokes, I'd respond to this post with a supercut of Sargon Chuckles.

(Ironically that's what he's naming his upcoming cryptocurrency.)

Yea we have a shitty fence that is easily crossed we need an actual wall not some shit tier fence

Yea we have a shitty fence that is easily crossed we need an actual wall not some shit tier fence

Its the same fence as the rest of the border fence from San Diego to New Mexico, with 3,833 border agents hired to patrol the tiny sliver of California's border, and with technology from Afghanistan to monitor the border crossings. This is solely the domain of the federal government, not the state government.

A giant concrete wall like Trump has proposed won't change the numbers of undocumented people coming through since the vast majority of them aren't hoping the fence. They're coming in through the checkpoints like everyone else with Worker's Visas that expire and they just...don't leave. This is like having a leak in a pipe and instead patching the pipe to prevent a leak, you just get additional buckets to catch the water.

And I also object to your assertion that California is "devastated" in any way. Out of the more pressing issues facing the state (affordability, housing supply, homelessness, income inequality, water management etc.) undocumented immigration isn't one of the more pertinent issues right now since it's been on the decline for close to a decade now according to the 3 groups who research these things.

Reform the Visa system, provide a much more coherent path to citizenship program, and work on poverty reduction techniques such as investing in schools, infrastructure, and helping the kids of 1st generation immigrants acclimate to the United States.

What.

As a huge fan of Sargon of Akkad myself, as well as a fan of several Internet personalities who have threads on these forums, I find this to be utterly stupid and unutterably absurd.

No one should be exempt from criticism just because they produce good content. No one. If I myself got a thread on the Kiwi Farms for my words, actions, or work, I would either:

1. Better myself based on those criticisms
2. Address said criticisms rationally and logically.
3. Simply deal with it and move on with my life.

There is no justification for shutting down an entire forum based on so-called "harassment" and "daily attacks" on one man. This is not what Carl Benjamin himself would want, and not what you would should want, if you actually respect him, and his principles and values.

Ok I didn't mean to say the entire forum, ie Kiwifarms, but just this thread. I think Sargon (Wont say his real name cause thats doxing), if he were here would agree that this thread has outlived its purpose and has basically turned into a brewhaha. Sargon is one person, not an army, and I don't like seeing people gang up on one person.

Carl's name has been public for years. If you say information that is already publically known, that's not doxing.

So if lots of people knew his address, and his families info it would be ok to constantly post it? Never-mind that there are maniacs (William Atchison) out there who will do God knows what with that info.

If I'm not mistaken California provides welfare services, Medicaid/Medicare, and subsidized higher education to illegal immigrants, all at taxpayer expense and presumably with little input from the illegals themselves (mostly in part due to their untaxed low wages and lack of any property to tax). Do you not think that unduly burdens the California budget?

I can't comment on what reforms you've stated, but imo one of the things that needs to be changed is the removal of automatic naturalization based on birth on American soil and the replacement with naturalization based on descent from American citizens. The current process is way too liable to be abused.

It certainly wouldn't hurt though, and being completely fair the problem on the border isn't just immigration, it's also trafficking of all sorts.

The fact that it's fucking up California somewhat less than other problems doesn't change the fact that it is indeed a problem, nor does it make it disappear.

The burning question that came to mind when I read this is "WHY?". The U.S. already has a problem with homeless children, kids who have access to running water and food, etc. It's not the responsibility of the U.S. to take care of the rest of the world, especially when we have citizens who have the same exact problems.

if only Carl had a spine and could be brave enough to live with public infamy

yes, the old "these other problems are more pressing so this isn't a problem" has gotten pretty tiresome. illegal immigration is primarily a benefit for employers who want to save by suppressing wages and not really a benefit for anybody else. they take more than they provide

If you use Public Info to find not so public info the person doesn’t want known, that’s close enough.

Luckily that isnt happening but it’s essentially what Kraut did and is trying to say he didn’t

Anyway, why has this thread devolved into arguing that controlling immigration has suddenly become impossible when the USA did it for most of its history?

Agreed. I would also add this thread is basically a place for people to vent, name call, and drop doxx. That is hardly criticism.

People have criticized Sargon a lot. I hold off on a lot of the ones I've come to hold because I dont want this to become a place for e-partisans.

But here are some criticisms that arent taking a definite position on political matters:

1. I think he's unwittingly fleecing his fans by holding speeches in upscale places.

2. I think he's dodged what looks like legit criticism to me while highlighting people who do just want to throw shade so he can pretend his critics are all dumb.

3. I think, actually, I know he knew Kraut was digging into CRP but looked the other way while lecturing people on principles.

4. I dont think he can credibly get mad when places like 8chan and kiwifarms go after him when he's used what they've dug up or hosted about other people.

5. I think he doesnt really have a plan besides whining that the world isnt liberal enough for him.

Probably more I can think of but this is enough.

I love how Kraut drama is still being talked about. It is a bit disillusioning to see how massive of a blow that entire incident was on the YouTube skeptic community. I've only recently dived myself into that drama, and it's so much to unpack. I still barely have an idea of whether or not Kraut truly was running a doxxing server.

I feel, if what Kraut did had never been exposed, Sargon's credibility wouldn't be questioned like how Coach Red Pill and Mister Metokur have been doing. I wonder what Sargon really thinks of Kraut, now that he's long been over and done with. I don't know.

So many questions, not enough answers.

He's said he wants Kraut back in comments. People here were floating the idea Kraut would just be an attack dog for the liberalists. And there have been a few rumblings about how "the altright does it too so it was okay" which could provide justification. For the record the evidence is pretty bad. The main point was that Ruin's leaks had Kraut's address somewhere in them...but someone pointed out he lives in Germany and would have said his address in German (he was ordering food) so nobody but Kraut would have known this if it was never mentioned. It certainly never came up when the drama was unfolding, it seems to be retroactively a point of contention when it had no impact.

But yea, Kraut was in fact trying to discredit critics with personal info. His defense was that it was all 'public' but what that seems to mean, as a user already stated, is that he used publicly available info to find out more about them. So he was in fact digging for dirt to save face in an internet argument. Not a crime but certainly pretty shit tier for someone who pretends to be an enlightened rationalist.

One side has decent evidence, the other has attempts to revise history long after the issue was salient and equivocating on what they were doing.

You can always say people should focus their efforts somewhere else. Fact is there isnt a reason to not enforce the laws we have and have better border security. It's simple and should be expected.

The fact illegals legally cant claim benefits is kind of silly because we know how benefits use breaks down by ethnicity, so their kids will. Just kicking the can down the road a bit.
