Pathfinder actually outsold 4th Edition for a while (so did official 3.5 content, on balance, but we'll get to that), so there was a big groundswell of support and a major economic boon for the company.

Unfortunately, what happened to Paizo is exactly what happened at Green Ronin Press, and (currently) Wizards of the Coast - the cult of Social Justice has come to claim the hobby for its own, and declare that the major thing in the way of its success is the very people that made it profitable in the first place. These infiltrations always start the same way: some cuck giving in too much and allowing these assholes into positions of authority. Once they have power, they appoint cronies and quickly gain de-facto control.

Of all the big D&D publishers subjected to this form of ideological capture, Paizo is by far the most cucked. If I recall from when we were first digging into it, Soha Kareem was friends with CHELSAY pre-Gamergate (I believe they were both part of the Toronto game dev scene), sometime after GG Soha was involved in "alt-games" and there was something about an article, either wrote by Soha or about her/alt-games. This angered Chelsea enough that she chimped out and sent her anti-GG/CON chat group, Jake included, to start attacking Soha. Jake participated in this mass harassment by usually just Googelshnging out vague screeds about someone who was clearly Soha, he'd then compile them into Storifies so they could be passed around and further attack Soha, and he did name her on at least one occasion if I recall.

I wrote a huge full metal sperg post about Jake Alley, SJWism in TTRPG publication, and the like, but then remembered that this isn't a blog.

A lot of the hard core SJW crew have contracted Trump Derangement Syndrome and began throwing REEEEE raves all over social media. This means that a lot of companies are quietly moving these guys to contractors in order to cut them loose.h

Jake Alley is a hermit, you can't show him at cons, he can't interact with critics and fans, and his base of support is largely gone. Combined with the fact that he is a slow producer, spends time throwing REEEE raves and pity parties on social media, and attacking people, means that he's radioactive. His former clique is known for being toxic and ultimately non-productive with a lot of baggage. SGG doesn't exist, Violet Hargrave doesn't exist and Jake Alley isn't public friendly. He doesn't know how to dress for a con (I'd be embarassed to be seen with him, and I'm a flannel shirt and jeans wearing drunk) and seems very hard to be around. His rep and personality online is toxic in a non-fun way, he's surrounded himself with toxic people who aren't any fun, and spends more time tearing things down than he does building things. He exists solely within the SJW crowd, and even then, he's been unpersoned by his very chosen clique.

SJW's don't buy things. They don't increase your sales. They just infect and destroy. The TTRPG community has watched this happen, and largely knows that the SJW clique is just the religious fundamentalists with a different label.

Jake will either have to do a complete reinvention of who he is, or hope that a company is willing to put up with all of his downsides and hire him anyway.

Even a no-name minor league publisher like me wouldn't hire him. He's radioactive.

Jake at some point latched onto the idea that the reason he wasn't a well-paid game designer was due to nepotism and lack of connections. It was the way he rationalized nearing 30 and being an unemployed shut in dependent on his mother. He's just been waiting for the a big break to materialize but decided it hadn't only because he didn't have the right "in" with a game company.

It's sad and funny at the same time. Jake is certainly right that connections and nepotism can help a great deal within any industry, but trying to network your way into a job requires charisma or at least being likeable. The irony is networking is the last way on earth Jake could ever build a gaming career, given his personality it was be to be so good at game design or content that people would overlook his creepy, awful personality. But Jake failed at that so he's doubled down on making "connections" which is almost entirely dependent on good interpersonal skills, none of which Jake possesses.

Jake isn't just unlikeable he actually repels people with his know-it-all, strident SJW bullshit, endless neediness and esp. his creepy, stalking behavior. Who wants to chance becoming friends with a guy, who if you decide he's creepy and don't want anything to do with you, will scream on SM for years about you being an abusive nazi for simply not communicating with him?

Then add to the fact what he's selling himself as while "networking" online is an oppressed transwoman. But he's actually a stereotypical creepy, fat, stinky neckbeard - that has to piss off people who went out of their way to befriend or assist him to discover. The fact that his entire online persona is a lie ensures he will never benefit from it in the real world of jobs and careers.

So unlikeable, stalker, creepy, never wrong, makes false accusations against people who tried to be his friend and is a epic liar and selling a fraudulent identity. Who's wants to work with someone like that? Absolutely no one. This is why the most his Violent H./SGG persona will ever get him is anonymous freelance gigs that don't require any IRL interaction - and given the bullshit he's pulling he should be content with at least getting that.
