A Matter of Life and Death started out with a nice intro. It had an interesting art style that was immediately appealing, and the character designs worked within that style. It introduced Death as the main character, sardonic and dour as one might expect. The story then proceeds to show that when not "on the job," Death has a softer side to him. By the fourth page, it hints at a romantic thread between Death and Life, which is not an uncommon idea, and the tone so far feels like it can carry such a thread in a subtle way.
The story very quickly becomes a somewhat stereotypical boys love story, and the characters turn into the basic whiny and unnecessarily feminine kind you'd expect from yaoi. The tone completely shifts, and the world building also gets a tad too involved and weird, while also feeling incredibly derivative of preexisting properties.
As well, the comic falls victim to a somewhat abrupt, and not necessarily for-the-better, art style change. Sudden sameface and a weird dead eye effect, and with the lack of a graphic black&white look, the character designs start to look odd.
All in all, a comic with some promising first few pages, that almost immediately turns out to be a dumb mess.
On grabbing links, I noticed the author/artist has changed their name on tapas to "100% Woke." Very professional.
The anatomy in this one deserves some notice:
That and the strange dynamic that seems to exist between Luna and the gray blob trolls. In panel one, the troll is assertive: "THERE ARE ONLY TWO GENDERS! GAYS ARE STUPID! MAGA!" but then when Luna waltzes in the frame, the troll invariably stands passively by and just lets Luna show him up.
There are many things wrong with toothpaste comics, like it deserves an essay.
They just should stop doing comics and learn anatomy, background, proportions, stop their toothpaste hair-fingerlessgloves-checkered shirt OC and draw actual characters instead of those borings grey characters who are just sealioning... But that won't be funny, so... Please toothpaste, never stop entertain us.

They went from a fairly good and clean manga-influenced style to "haha you guys remember Tumblr?" in the blink of an eye. And of course it was their TRUE STYLE ALL ALONG.
LOL! Dude is straight until one day he checks out gay websites on the Internet. Next day, he's staring at his friend's ass admiringly. It makes me laugh because it's a pro-gay comic, but plays right into the conservative tropes about how the Internet is a bad and corrupting influence on America's youth.

The reason why people call Tumblr the worst for all the made up genders isn't because Tumblr "invented" those feelings so much that the website is structured in such a way that discourages fact-checking and keeps misinformation in continued circulation for months or even years after it's been debunked several times. Hence how you get classic Tumblr cringe moments like people believing there's a disease that gives you purple eyes and no periods, or all those callout posts that people assume are legit because the post included enough broken links no one bothered to click on.
Toothpaste is a perfect example of that. I must have been asleep during the part of history class that explained the rich, extensive roots of the origins of starself pronouns and autism-genders.
This could have been already posted but if its not i just have to show this to someone
Its literally (and i do mean literally) the worst comic i have seen on the internet. Its truly worse than that diaper tails comic. Its abhorrently unfunny and it makes me want to kill myself.

or rather they try as hard as possible to be relatable but DISGUISING that reliability as unusual quirkiness as opposed to all those "normals" out there, to make everyone who reads it both relate and feel unique
I swear to god I hate how ugly and simple the art is. I hate how the humor is just " lol adulting is haaard" or "I'm a goober with my boyfriend look at how cute we are!!!"
This is in the same vein. Note the leg hair? How could you miss it?!
I'll admit that I generally like Our Super Adventure. I don't seek it out, but I see it posted around from time to time. I've always thought that, out of all the "adulting is hard" comics, it was kind of cute. But the leg hair... yeah, that one is not a winner.

OSA is generally one of the better Adulting comics, but it seems to be pretty niche for "millennials in comfortable relationships", aka "this couple in joke will be totally hilarious, right?"
Catana comics I can't get mad at. They are dumb but cute.
