I still refuse to believe DSP or most YouTubers get anywhere near $2 CPM these days, we're in the post-adpocalypse world after at least 2 adpocalypses now. Also we don't know how many of those views are monetized, certainly any Mario Tennis Aces views aren't, we don't know how adblock rates affect it. So $3K for 1.5mn seems super high & should be deemed the absolute maximum he could've gotten.
To be honest, I would find it a little hard to believe too, except for what Phil said at the end of 2017 when he claimed Youtube was 1% higher than Twitch. Based on your totals for Twitch, that would have put Youtube at somewhere around $42k minimum for the year. Based on his 21.7M views for 2017 (according to socialblade), that was an average CPM of just under $2. Regardless, that's why I put the $1-2 range on it. I think that's a reasonable rate to consider. And thanks again for the input--it's really important to make sure this is being done as fairly as possible.
If there's anybody reading this that has a decent number of followers/subscribers and puts out video game related content on Youtube and wants to share their CPM (anonymously or otherwise), that would be appreciated.

Wow. That was ~$150 more than I expected. Shows how deceptive that front-facing number can be.
