OH SHIT, it's Taz Mokracek.

This dude is legit crazy. In the post that wes linked up above a lot of the web links are busted, but they are retrievable through the Wayback Machine, probably because by including them in my post the SEO of the Kiwi Farms spurred the web crawler to archive them. Everything else is gone otherwise, including all of his YouTube videos sadly. They were a treasure trove of insanity.

I should have archived them and I regret not doing so, but I had no idea that this guy would gain notoriety again. (A cursory google search shows that in recent months there's been some activity surrounding him, including the creation of an ED page within the past week.) He'd been messed with before so I just sorta assumed everything that was still online was just abandoned content that Taz didn't have access to anymore. He formerly had a Dailymotion profile where a lot of his content was mirrored, but it seems that account just 404's now too.

My memory is kind of fuzzy but if anyone's curious about him quote/tag me in a post and I'll explain what I can remember.

Right, I found out about him while doing some digging on people in the CLG Wiki thread (which at the time was mostly about "logophiles" in general). Taz, as far as I know, is not and has never been a member of the CLG website. I just stumbled upon him because when I was searching for weird TV idents and stuff his content kept coming up. I had nowhere else to post about him (at the end of my 2015 post I mentioned maybe he'd belong in the Pooh's Adventures thread, or do well with his own) so I just tossed him in there. Clearly, among the four people I highlighted in that thread he was the most unique and had the biggest footprint.

Taz's online history stretches back to tape trading communities in the early 00's where he apparently ripped some people off. I don't know if this was an intentional thing, or just because he's an idiot and couldn't keep up his side of the deal. Around this time he was also starting countless Yahoo groups for all sorts of dumb things like reviving toy stores and TV channels. At some point during this period he came up with the idea of "Classix", which appears to no longer exist online in any form now aside from internet archives. The website for Classix was mostly just freeform drivel about this fictional TV station that aired nothing but old game shows. Taz had a page where he'd made a "schedule" and some of the shows were real (Password, Jeopardy, Press Your Luck), but others where fucking crazy nonsense like the ones I mentioned in my post: Jeoparsmart, Eat Sand, and It's Your Chance To Eat On The Bus. There were also some personal pages such as the ones about his "friends".

He has a very specific fixation on some incredibly bizarre things. I'm talking like "children sitting down" and "children walking to various places". In the many videos that I linked to that are now missing, they were largely silent slideshows with text of cartoon characters talking about doing these things. Similar to how the DeviantArt pictures focus entirely on "sitting on the floor in the back of a car and talking", Taz's videos consisted of "The Emmy Show" where Emmy hosted a talk show where she talked about how much she enjoyed walking places. (She was having this conversation with a crippled Christopher Reeve which is hilarious and fucked up, the irony of which I am 100% positive was lost on Taz.) Another video was a "commercial" for a show called "Sit Down With Emmy" where Emmy talked about all the chairs she owned, and how they were exclusively the only piece of furniture in her bedroom.

Because he's autistic, Taz repeats a lot of the same phrases over and over again, like those DA pictures where the cartoon characters say the exact same phrasing of "I am going to sit on the floor in this car and talk" over and over across multiple images. Many of his YouTube videos followed the same pattern. The one that comes to mind for me was the "Lance Chip Thunder Potato Chips Commercial", where once again Emmy was the spokesperson. She was very insistent on repeating the name of the product verbatim -- "Lance Chip Thunder Potato Chips". The text in that commercial essentially boiled down to Emmy repeating some iteration of "I like to have 4 bags of Lance Chip Thunder Potato Chips every day, I eat 4 bags of Lance Chip Thunder Potato Chips and 4 pickles every day, this is what I eat every day". It was fucking weird.

People keep calling Taz a pedophile, but I genuinely believe he is not one (even though I made an off-handed remark about him "banging kids"). I say this because I don't think he has the mental development to understand anything about sex whatsoever. At no point in any of the content that I reviewed while writing about Taz did I find anything remotely sexual. I feel like his weird obsessions borderline on fetish material, but again nothing he's ever created has appeared to try and serve a fetishistic intent. I think he is just mentally a child and thus only relates to childish things, including other children. He's obsessed with things like toy stores and cartoons/movies intended for people in single-digit ages. He talks about "doing chores" for his family and having an allowance. He's not daydreaming about having sex with kids, he just wants to be one again.

A lot of his content seems to be grounded in childhood memories and the "sit on the floor in a car and talk" thing feels like a continuing example of that. Taz might have some fledgling early memory of riding around in his parents' car at a very young age and because he was so small he could still sit on the floor. His mind misfiled this memory as "things that children do" and now it's become something he's added to his rolodex of things on repeat. Same with telling a child to sit down somewhere, or to walk somewhere. Inversely, a lot of the names of the fake game shows that he came up with appear to be intentionally going against things that you specifically tell children NOT to do: Touch the Fire (don't touch the stove), It's Your Chance to Eat on the Bus (don't eat food on the school bus), Steal Max & Emmy's Toys (don't take other kids' toys), Hit Emmy (don't hit other kids), Waste Electricity, Go Out At Night, and Cross on Red (don't cross the street on a red light).

I'm surprised to see that he is still active on the internet. I had initially assumed that perhaps he had a handler or something and they saw "no harm" in the gibberish that he was dumping onto the internet. I guess once the heat got turned up they intervened or something because Taz doesn't seem like the kind of person who has the presence of mind to be able to put together the cause/effect of the things he posts online versus the response he gets from others. I could be wrong though especially if he's saying things like "0% pedophile" and whatnot.

I just don't know. But it's unfortunate that his old website and YouTube channel are gone now, because if someone really wanted to pick Taz's brain (like I did) those places were a literal gold mine.
