Someone in Phil's chat just got banned, likely directly by Phil, and all they said was "Phil, you haven't played offline in decades though right?" when he was bitching about "online only tactics". Phil is salty tonight.

I assume shes making more than minimum wage. Being it was at a company that actually gave her a transfer.

I'm pretty sure Phil let it slip that she was looking for a job once she was out there. The whole transfer thing could also be from one retail store branch to another. I'm still betting on more or less minimum wage, which is still $15/hr in Seattle.

As for his financial shape, I've no doubt he was in some shit with the back state taxes and probably with the federal ones too, but I would also assume that he's exaggerating the overall picture, given that he still eats out frequently and buys overpriced frozen meals (Schwans), has a Kickstarter drink for goddamn near every daytime stream (at least one, sometimes more), and has like 4 different streaming services on top of $300+ of internet connection. He's also still buying plenty of new games at $60 a pop.

People are getting paid to do commentary on fighting games streams. Phil seizes on this. "People are getting paid for that shit?!" Explains how he would be a perfect FGC commentator: "These days I'm much better at controlling myself."

That shit's really funny since I recall him talking about getting such an offer back in the day during one of his (I think) rants about Machinima and how they didn't help him out. The gist, as I recall, was that his contact brought up Phil doing some commentating work, and Phil turned it down b/c he thought he would eat into his daily uploading of 50+ videos. I also seem to recall that when telling this story, Phil didn't look back and regret missing this opportunity. He instead related it with a tone of "Can you believe this fuckin' idiot?".

Phil Burnell: Forever and always penny-wise and pound-foolish.

Yes, although as Ballbuster pointed out in this post, (https://kiwifarms.net/threads/darksydephil-theycallmedsp-phil-burnell.975/page-3231#post-3525664) Princess spent about 600 dollars just so he could give Phil 300-ish dollars worth of bits.
Has anyone pointed this out to Phil? Not this cheer specifically just the general loss of money that comes from cheering. I know he pushes for tips, especially around the beginning of the month, but he only says he wants tips because he gets them right away. I guess calling out the platform you're on claiming they are stealing money frrom you isn't a great idea, but that has never stopped Phil before.

Just today he gave his "Youtube used to be the wild west" speech but it was about Twitch. Can't wait for the "Youtube is the future Twitch is the past" speech just because it would be his most challenging back peddle to date.

I remember he once banned someone for saying that he simply got "outplayed" when he lost a match in some fighting game. What a salty scrub.

What really triggers me about his fighting game streams is, whenever he says that he will "challenge" himself by picking a bad match-up.
That's exactly what is the difference between a bad player and a scrub:
The bad player uses everything to win, while the scrub handicaps himself by using "honourful" characters and/or tactics and uses these self-induced handicaps as excuses when he loses.

What gets me is that he doesn't seem to stick to any main(s) and try to be as good as possible with them, but tries playing all sorts of characters, and none of them all that greatly. He's not even a jack of all trades, master of none, he's jack shit.

I saw this video today of the marvel actors reading mean or insulting tweets about them, and it made me think of old dave and how he absolutely cant take any form of criticism or joke at his expense unless hes the one making it.

Obviously hes not the same level as an actual actor, but still you think 10 years having a public identity out there on the internet you would learn to just roll with the punches... but not our dave.

Kat was working today on a national holiday, she almost certainly works at chain retail. Would explain the possible transfer and I'd agree, she's probably making that 15 or just slightly more.

I assume shes making more than minimum wage. Being it was at a company that actually gave her a transfer. Id say between 40-60k if had to guess
There’s no evidence other than the word of a pathological liar that she ever had a job that let her transfer across the country. Kat is nowhere near intelligent or charismatic enough to have a position so important that they would transfer her instead of just finding someone else. Plus if she had a great job that would allow this kind of transfer, why the fuck would she move in with Phil? I refuse to believe there wasn’t a financial component to her decision to do so, bc we all know how repulsive he is to us and we don’t have to smell his greasy walrus stench or have him convulse on top of us like an exceptional seal.

It seems far more plausible that she was working some minimum wage gig as a waitress or cashier or something and was wooed with tales of the wonders and riches of the Gout Kingdom, so she moved out there and spent a few weeks finding another job doing something similarly menial. Calculations saying she makes $40k-60 seem overly generous to me as well. Minimum wage in Seattle is $15, so she’d be clearing closer to $30k if she was working 40hr weeks every week of the year. But considering the way most jobs of that sort work and her likely lack of any appreciable intelligence or skills, it’s very possible she’s getting less than full-time every week, and probably makes sub-30k annually.

While I’m sure Phil’s money grubbing ass is delighted to have any extra income Kat does bring in, I don’t think that’s his main reason for wanting her there. He’s all about pretending to be a cool, tough, successful adult and Leanna leaving him was a huge blow to his ego bc he couldn’t claim to be smashing pussy like the ladies man he imagines himself to be. Kat is a status symbol to him, just like the house, the BMW, or his toy collection. He needs her to present the image that people love and care about him when we all know even with her living there, he’s still the same reclusive, friendless little goblin he always was and always will be. Now he just has a roommate who he can brag about and use to hide from the fact that nearly everyone who knows his name despises him.

Looking at the thumbnails of his recent twitter pics. Can this guy communicate anything succinctly?

even if phil was making 9k a month he was in awful shape. he was lucky to find another sheep

Here, in Michigan, 60k is like mid-level executive salary. It's on the lower end of an RN's salary. She is not making anywhere NEAR 60k. Likely, half that. And the idea that she was transferred by her work requires believing something coming out of Phil's mouth. So, I don't think she transferred.

I said this when she first moved, but where ever she works if she really did get a transfer like dave said, its most assuredly level job. She didn't start work for an entire month or so, and most of it was because they ran into issues getting her license. Where ever she transferred to clearly didn't miss her.

And like you said everything about the kat situation points to her probably having a troubled life where she was, you dont just uproot your entire life for a guy you've met 4 times when you got a good thing going. theres no way kat doesn't work an entry level job somewhere.

Dave has nowhere near the upper body and arm strength to be on top unless he's literally gone in 60 seconds or Kat is physically holding him up like she's doing bench-presses, let alone the leg strength for rhythmic lower body motions. He's definitely the lay there and take it type if they ever actually touch.

I love how Dave always characterizes the people who beat him in fighting games as "thinking they're so good". There's absolutely no chance they're just chilling, catching a few games before heading out. Just beating some scrub online, having no idea who DSP even is. It's just that Dave can't help but project his own emotions onto everyone else.
