I’m really tired of this “my YouTube channel is an archive” narrative he tries to pull.
If it was actually an archive channel he wouldn't gimp his stream experience by turning off copyrighted music in every game he plays. From what I've read the music in The Adventures of Captain Spirit is integral to the experience of that game, and of course Phil turned it off immediately. He did the same for his "redemption run" of GTA: San Andreas, and I think most video game players would agree that the soundtracks for the GTA series are pretty incredible.

Instead what do you get? Phil staring at his phone waiting for $1 troll tips to clear in Muxy and reading the latest 30 copyright claims his Youtube channel has received. Then once the dialogue is finished on-screen you hear "Duhu" and "mkay."

Look at those names. And all within about 3-4 minutes. Times are EST.

Those accounts were clearly made using a script/dictionary for sure. Possibly been farming bit's for ads for months on end now.

sorry about the shitty cropping and what not, theyre all in order to the quote. except zack, he isnt on there but added him since one of the bots was following him. head bot? idk how it all works, but it is indeed very suspcious. and ofc infinite_55 just to keep the list consistent

Wasn't there like some sand-nigger from Dubai who gave Dave a couple of 500$ tips?

Yeah. Then DSP insulted him after he gave him friendly advice and he left forever.

He wouldn't sell anything he'd keep it. His old CT condo was very tight and he had all the shit he currently does.

That condo is still almost full. There's still a couch, table, lamps, bed and desk left in there. Think of all the stuff he bought since moving to the townhouse. The sofa alone is bigger than his living room. He got a bedroom set from his parents, another TV, kitchen table, etc.

Yo, what kind of jank-ass lookin stats are these??

No numbers. Just titles and lines, with their spacing from the first image being COMPLETELY different to second image.

Close out of Microsoft Paint and put down the gin Phil. Arn't you supposed to be stress binging Netflix anyway??

Its plausible there is a site offering bits at below market rates (which would logically involve thousands of bots viewing ads or credit card fraud).

The thing is doesn't watching an ad give you like 5-10 bits? It seems fairly unlikely a bot that cheered $43 worth somehow watched 400-800 advertisements.

Watching an ad typically gives you 2 bits. Farming bits is extremely time consuming. Farming 4300 bits ($43) would take roughly 18 hours worth of ads, or 540 30 second ads.

mobile for ads? I’ve gotten 10, 15, even 70 bits once from just watching one ad on the desktop version of twitch. On a scale from 5-100 bits. Mobile version lacks a lot in that aspect.

This is only on mobile(in US, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, Finland, France, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Sweden, Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea). On desktop(only available in the US) you can earn 5-100 bits for an ad(I've earned 100 bits on a few ads before).

Wow okay I stand corrected. I don’t use twitch on my desktop. I don’t use twitch in general really. I’ll have to test that out though. How many ads can you watch on your desktop? Does twitch limit you?

After a while it either says ads are unavailable. (try again later) That’s mostly a cooldown. The other version just says that’s all the ads for today. And it won’t let you watch anymore

Interesting. About how many on average before the cool down happens? Just curious so I can adjust my math and get a ballpark number for desktop but farming.

Isn't there some kind of first time buyer discount on bits? Couldn't you theoretically start a bunch of bot accounts, then sell bits to people below usual market price but above what you paid for them by purchasing the bits on the fresh account when the order comes in and giving the buyer the account's password?

Edit: Nevermind, looks like the only offer is 1K bits for $10 once per new account. More likely to have bot accounts spamming ads as often as they can until at sizable bit amount gets racked up.

The problem with the farming ads concept is that you can't gift bits and Twitch seems to have it very locked down. So a bot watching dozens of ads would presumably trigger a flag on the account and restrict it from watching ads again.

Sounding like somebody's dabbling in some credit card fraud then.

That seems the most likely, but I doubt its a direct fan of DSPs. Rather much like viewbots there are probably people/sites that offer "discounted" bits.

Its also plausible the accounts are legitimate but stolen (which seems unlikely because they don't have any real use)

I see. Well until I can get some concrete numbers I’ll just have to wing it on some estimates from desktop farming.

Let’s say you are limited to 15 ads a day (again this is just a random number, I don’t have evidence to say otherwise yet) and the bit collection averages 25 bits an ad. That would be 12 days of bit farming at only 90 total minutes of 30 second ads. For all I know desktop ads are 60 seconds or longer.

Thresholds have to be in place to stop this type of behavior otherwise Twitch would be losing out on money and we all know Twitch can’t have that.

Also judging by the names of those accounts Neger, those are auto generated names that I think Twitch can generate at the account creation process. So they are 99% most likely fake.

@actually is there a way we can see when these accounts were created? That would give us a better idea if these were bit farming accounts depending on how old the accounts are.

Because alota peepul keep bringing up DSP's houses and where he lives there is now a dedicated thread for just such discussion:
https://kiwifarms.net/threads/dsp-where-he-lives-lived.45337/

If DSP says on stream "my roof just collapsed!!!" that can still go here, but for all extended discussion about shit like:
  • "I can't believe he lives in Washington/living expenses"
  • "CT is so much better!
  • If DSP has to declare bankruptcy he should move to this place!!!
it should go in that thread.

There are other threads already for his financial situation but his living expenses when it comes to where he lives are distinct from his own personal finances (loans/credit cards)
