This is disgusting beyond words. We knew Chris was being manipulated, but this is appalling.

Thanks for informing the world about these morally bereft sociopathic bastards, and may God bless every effort you make in seeing they never do this again and that their crimes be punished as harshly as can be arranged.

I don't get why people are mad at "Rocky". She is completely useless, but she is right here. Chris is a threat to himself and others if he physically abused his mother (who does deserve it) because internet stranger told him to. He cannot be independent.

Chris needs some type of structured support where his communications and actions are monitored. This guy imploded because he was booted from a minor comical convention. What happens when the lender tells him he has to pay $130,000 now NOW NOW!!!! to stay in the house? That last part could technically happen at any time. Reverse mortgage can become due immediately upon failure to maintain property (they don't want to keep paying on home that they can't recover money from or hold it while it could lose even more value.) I really doubt that Chris could raise the funds. Nor should anyone help. It is not good him for to be in this situation.

Recovering the money is much less important than Chris being in an environment where he is safe, monitored, and controlled. Unfortunately, he will be as ripe for abuse in that new situation too as you do not get to live in tard-homes for free. They take your check and leave the leftover amount for frivolities.

No one is going in Chris' house to care for him or his mother. The home is not safe. It is dirty and cluttered. Any agency is going to require cleaning and refuse removal (it's a fire hazard) before sending in a nurse or aide. They will not put their staff at risk (moral and liability issues.)

Dammit, /cow/, I know you have a raging hateboner for @Null, but come the fuck off it for awhile, I think we can both agree the bastards who did this are utter fucking scum and Josh Moon deserves some kudos for having enough of a conscience to know even this shit those assholes did is beyond any sort of limit for funny and falls somewhere between utterly evil and devoid of redemption.

If you guys want to drown these fuckers in dildos and pizzas, I sure as fuck won't stop you, but if you really need to have a villain to be pissed at here, Josh is less vile than the bastards he hates here.

Aside from that, jack yourself off to all the nasty shit Null has done if it makes you feel better, but for once, he's on the side of the angels even if everything else he's done is black as sin.

It may be dumb and inflexible, but it's a simple principle they live by.

That's fine and all, but considering Null is rightly pissed at utter fucking criminals who blackmailed Chris on a scale of thousands of dollars and tricked him into committing horrible acts of depravity for their own sick amusement, fuck them anyway, especially since Josh is doing what is moral, legal, and ethical to do given his role in this situation.

Might as well appeal to the moral sensibility of a brick wall. Half of /cow/ is made up of banned kiwis looking to spite the farms and half of them were banned for a-logging OPL in the first place.

I appreciate Rocky's point of view, if it is as I think. I don't believe that she wasn't sympathetic to seeing people brought to justice for abusing a mentally deficient man. I feel like a priority for her is seeing Chris housed in a place that would prevent this from occurring again in the future.

I've power-levelled enough for people to know I'm a filthy foreigner, but I suspect there is either a long window to the statute of limitations for these kinds of crimes or none at all, and assuming that to be the case I can understand a prioritization of ensuring safety over seeking justice.

However, it's not hard to pick up a phone and work to approach both ends simultaneously.

Trust me, not blind to that at all, but eventually, you have to draw limits somewhere, and shit like this is where you draw a line in the sand.

Tricking Chris into breaking his PS3 for 9001 dollars was stupid but ultimately harmless in the long run, not to mention didn't involve anything illegal, Chris had free will throughout to refuse.

Stealing money from him for your own gain to the tune of several thousand dollars and tricking a mentally fragile man into committing crimes or you'll threaten to ruin him, again for your own gain, there is no defense for that shit.
