Well, pulling an all-nighter does seem to indicate that he actually cares. I mean, even if it's ultimately because unhappy customers mean more trouble and people wanting refunds, he's at least showing some semblance of responsibility.

All-in-all, color me pleasantly surprised.

I have to wonder why he used all caps to mention the fact that he had to 'rush mold' two of the medals. Is he somehow implying that the quality of these two medals is going to be sub-par? If this is the case, what are the odds that the two customers who receive the 'rushed' medallions file additional complaints?

I'm hoping that anyone from here who purchased a medal feels inclined to post a pic here (or create a special thread for this, as was done with the b & w commissions). I'm curious to see how the final product came out.

Chris is living an hour behind? There is literally an episode of Seinfeld where Kramer does the same thing, only an hour ahead. That's some surreal shit. No way that could cause any communications issues, especially dealing with Ebay customers and insurance agents. Nope.

Feel really badly for whoever has to correct Chris on the time. Strikes me as the kind of thing he'd get mad about.

Interesting new content, nobody getting BLANGRY, not a reaction gif in sight...

I like the new Discussion *yawn*

Very interested to see that work seems to be moving forward at 14BLC...

I'm confused as to why he had to "rush-mold" two medallions for two people who had cases open on him. Wasn't one of the cases closed because Chris had shipped it on time? I guess someone else opened a case? Also the material he's using takes 24 hours to dry so by "rush molding" he just meant he had to mold two extra medallions earlier than he intended since the process of actually molding them wouldn't need to be hurried.

I guess he's saying "I worked really, really hard and put in some solid effort for my customers" but he's offering so much poorly worded information that some of it doesn't make sense. I give him props for working through the night. I'm just confused by his specifics.

Chris got a strap caught in his lawn mower blades.

He had a strap just lying in his lawn.

Which meant that he didn't bother to pick garbage out of his lawn before mowing.

And pulling an all nighter to get work done is pretty hard, no matter who you are.

No kidding, pulling all nighters sucked in college. Granted, making medallions isn't entirely on par with that, but, credit where credit's due, I have to hand it to him.

Is it that, or is it possible that the grass was high enough and it might've been something he missed? I'd like to think he'd pick it up if he saw it, but, mayhaps I'm being optimistic, here...

While he has half arsed this to medium lenghts at least he is making them, as other have said in this thread he has been forced to learn if he wants Lego money he has to do something more than sit on his backside an play with toys (although he probably did that while working) I am just wondering though about the rush mold he has done, is he making a new mold per one from a original master? If so he is making less money than we assumed.

Some people think garbage disposals and lawnmowers are magical machines that can slice through anything. I know this because I had to replace a window due to a bunch of small rocks being shot at it through a lawnmower.

So Chris stayed up all night molding medallions, he's taking a day off he actually earned, and he's got a reasonable plan for how much work he's going to do each day to get all the medallions shipped by Wednesday.

Props to Chris for behaving like a functioning adult. I really hope it sticks and all the "stress and grief" haven't soured him to the idea of working for a living.

Pulling an all-nighter for Chris is just sticking to his normal schedule of up all night, sleep in the afternoon. For most people an all-nighter is getting up say 7am then not going to sleep till around the same time the next day.

You mean, they aren't? :c

I kid, but that's a fair point.

Just saying, I know two year olds who make Crayola model magic stuff in large quantities and can get it all done before nap time. Not impressed, Chris.

Edit: Just saying, Fuck your A-Logs. If you're impressed by this, you're dumb.

Chris is actually trying his best to be responsible. I'm keeping my hopes up for this to continue. Maybe the person who opened the case to screw him over actually did him a favor by inspiring him to get his butt in motion.

Also, I had to do a Lot of Heavy Lifting to make way to a railing part for the house that the construction crew will require very shortly.
Wait, is he talking about the rental, or 14 BLC? Why would a construction crew be at the rental house?

You sure told us. What a great post. Make another A-logging one I can tip my tophat to.

Stop getting mad at Chris :story:
