i almost guarantee we'd see some backpedalling if a grown-up(tm) actually talked to chris about it irl. flipping tables and shouting isnt chris' style, plus it would take too much energy for a guy who hasn't had to do anything physical for almost 3 decades.
the problem is if they sat him down with a shrink, he'd go "y-yeh i know i can't go to cwcville -sigh-". but then the second he's not with an actual adult, he'll be back on twitter talking about how he "psychically soul linked to myself in the alternate dimension, so there"
the difference between delusion and fantasy is that you can choose to live in the latter. chris isn't schizophrenic or something, he drives his car to mcdunnos and manages his day to day. he'd just rather believe his own bullshit (even if it was propped up by con artist retards) then admit to being a completely unspecial dumpy tranny. he'll contain it just enough to avoid consequences, but unleash the full tism on the interwebs.

I don’t agree, Chris has completely detached himself from reality. It may have started like you’re saying, with him using it as a mere fanciful escape. That however is not the case any longer, this is real to Chris. I think the only reason the twits lost their hold on him is because he was made to believe in the whole infinity stone thing. Barb is the only real thing in his life if that were taken away I think Chris would actually just completely surrender to his delusions. It’s sad, I actually hope this is something that a therapist can help. It would be sad to see Chris in a corner babbling while in his mind he’s in cwcville.
