As @Haramburger says, Boogie's problem is that he has no ideas, and nobody is going to stay in the long-term for his social commentary. Nobody subbed to his channel because he was a fat average guy giving his opinions on the news, they almost all subbed because he was in the game-sphere, and his game content for the longest time has been diabolically lazy and pointless.

His nice guy reputation is still holding, i would say that in fact it's the only thing keeping his channel. You can see that the only videos where Boogie consistently gets +400k views are his pity party "ramblings", not weight loss vlogs and blaming Youtube for his failures.

Step 2: Get criticism
Step 3: Play victim and then make constant videos on it

I remember several years ago he was posting more game oriented material but rewind to around his divorce videos around 5-6 months ago is when things really started going downhill in terms of video game content and more bullshit rambling about his life nobody wants to care about (usually).

Another tidbit I noticed is when I saw the "Thank you for FOUR MILLION SUBSCRIBERS!" video, which was from last year, he only gained 500,000 subscribers since then but looking at the SocialBlade stats, specifically monthly statistics section, his sub gain started to plateau in January of 2018 and thus growth was very slow, and seemed to become even slower this month.

It's unlikely he'll get anywhere near 5 million at the end of 2018.
