I would imagine many of these people have minimal contact with the real world:

* Still living with their parents
* Or adults still living off their parents
* Or living off ebegging income
* Entire time online is a block bot news ideological echo chamber
* Face down in their cellphones when they do venture outside like some sort of mobile safe space to avoid any direct contact with the icky real world
* Almost all real world interactions are purely functional - ordering food or coffee, buying gas, etc.

I think it is also why they fucking lose their minds when someone from their 'side' is held accountable. They live in a consequence free reality where they can do or say anything and as long as they are on the Right Side Of History they have free rein from the social media thought police and forum mods they spend almost all of their time in.

ResetEra is going into crisis mode. The hypocrisy is thick in the air. I especially enjoyed seeing ResetEra talk about "THINK OF THE COMEDIANS!!!" after going on non-stop about Dave Chapelle's transphobic jokes. I saw someone reference George "rape jokes are funny" Carlin as a shining example of what needs to be protected.

It took a couple extremely rich Hollywood celebs to fail the purity test for them to go 180 degrees on their fundamental value system of actively controlling speech and "deplatforming" people.

Last I heard, over 40% of the population approved of what Trump is doing. That's 40% of people that don't give a shit about equality, LGBTQ+ rights, or minorities. Every comment is pretty much white noise, completely lacking in substance or insight. It feels like they are making an effort to be mindless, but a quick search tells me that this is Rinsfury, and I can't imagine someone keeping this up for over 2 years. On the other hand they apparently never got their GAF account banned in solidarity, and have been logging into it as recently as yesterday. Indeed one of comments a quick google brings up is:

I don't have a GAF account so I can't see whether they've posted recently, but it does certainly seem like they don't toe the line quite as much as they'd like to pretend.

2 - As nonsensical as his point is, he was not "downplaying" #MeToo which was his supposed ban reason. He barely stepped a centimeter out of line but thats enough for some mods.

I've re-read his comment three times and still can't figure out he's downplaying sexual harassment. They enlist the dumbest fucks on the planet to moderate those forums.

It's ironic because he is the ideal male member for ResetEra, and still - STILL - can't pass the random purity tests.
