And yes, many folks in CS have no degree. But they have work experience and/or heavy involvement in personal projects and open-source. Brianna has NADA.

CS Degrees are actually pretty worthless IMO. Most everyone good I have ever worked with has no CS degree, maybe has a degree in math or something. It's one of the fields that the knowledge is not secret and guarded, nor is it really about memorizing a bunch of theories and such. It's mental discipline. I'd much rather higher someone with 4 years work experience than a degree, with a degree I'd still have to invest 4 years in getting them experienced with reality.

1. Nothing worthwhile is ever taught in high school computer classes, then or now.
2. No undergraduate computer science or related university course requires any knowledge of software engineering as a prerequisite.
3. Nobody compelled Wu to go to Ole Miss where apparently she was disgusted that they taught Fortran.
4. Nothing you ever learn in a computer science course is going to be about the practicalities of software engineering, not least because the staff don't know any of that shit.
5. Self-taught or formally educated, the hallmark of a good software engineer is if they've actually done something worthwhile with their education. Wu never has

Wu is trying to say she's a self-taught software engineer and it's elitist to suggest that she should be formally qualified. Why then, OH WHY, if she's a fucking software engineer did she spend ten years trying and failing to get a degree variously in business administration, journalism and journalism + political science? What did she want to be? Why at no time during those ten years did she actually pursue formal qualifications as a software engineer, if that's what she actually wanted to be?

The only explanation why that typo is STILL on the front page of her website is that "software engineer" Wu has absolutely no idea how to modify her own website.

Seeing as how the typo is also the name of the directory that the page is stored in and based on the source code I assume it all came from a template or Wu paid someone else to do it and is too ignorant and too incompetent to change the HTML/JavaScript.

I assume John is talking about C (created in 1972) which was and is still used because it's fantastic. John is probably too dumb to understand pointers. At least John knows how to use Wikipedia.

Around the release of Rev60 PC he tweeted that he thought "float" was really funny because "everyone floats down here". To me that was a good indication that he's never even encountered the most basic data types, so you're absolutely correct.

When it comes to the website Wu might not have the original files that would make it trivial to correct the graphic that says "carrer". Any attempt at photoshopping the problem or making a replacement graphic would likely end with it not matching the others and sticking out like a sore thumb, so the surrounding images would have to be tweaked a bit as well and it just snowballs from there.
