One of the things tugging at my heart strings right now is just, the detail that Marl gave up Apollo after realizing he didn't want to fuck him. That's all he ever wanted out of the animal and once realizing he didn't want to have sex with it, he got rid of it.
It's sad, all of that is sad.
Getting a pet is a huge deal, you can't just throw it away when you decide you have no use for it, that isn't how it works. It feels particularly heartless when worded that way. Especially when the original intent was so unthinkably heinous to begin with.

I have to wonder, why exactly is it conclusive to Glip that Marl is completely no longer using the internet? If he's being honest in his apology (very doubtful on its own) then he's completely learned his lesson and fessed up to their whole audience.
If they're divorcing and Marl's moving back in with his parents, nothing to do with Glip anymore at all, then why does it matter if he uses the internet at all? From her perspective. If that creep wants to die in total isolation, that's really okay by me, but it doesn't make sense. What does it accomplish?
