The funniest thing about him, is there's plenty of software out there to make it even easier for him to create things. There's HeroLab, Realmsworks, Campaign Cartographer, Hexmapper, Open Office/MS Office, Adobe CS2 (For free) or CS5 (Subscription) all of them making it so he could put out shitloads of stuff really quick.A lot of creative people bemoan the fact that it’s so hard to find time to actually create when you’re working to support yourself. Jake’s lucky. He could turn out an article a day if he wanted, if not more. Yet this month, all he’s done is a pointless and badly researched article claiming a character from a 90s anime that no one cares about is trans.
- Herolab to handle the details of the stat-blocks and do math checks.
- Realmswork to work on building regions or nations or entire campaign settings
- Campaign Cartographer for all his mapping needs. From hi-rez to old blue-ink map styles. Cities, dungeons, overland, hell, even solar systems and spaceships
- Hexmapper if he wants to go old school for overland maps
- Open Office/MS Office for his word docs so he can tidy it up and ready it for PDF conversion. You can get PDF converters for Open Office or Word
- Adobe if he wants to use InDesign to do his PDF layouts, Photoshop or GIMP to do up artwork, page backgrounds, whatever and clean up maps
He could offer a map a week to his subscribers. Or an NPC a week with statblocks and backstories for levels 1-20 and Mythic (for Pathfinder). Or a short PDF regarding spells, magic items, racial backgrounds, whatever.
He's not doing anything else.
But nope, he'd rather sperg out on Twitter all day and hide under his bed, terrified his mother will misgender him when calling him to dinner.
