Interesting. I think she feels the need to have power over men, which is why she's still so vain about her appearance and why she talks about being attractive to them. In her recent inane series "struggles of being me" she complains that "people" tell her she's really beautiful except for the weight. She even goes on to say one of her old boyfriends told her that if she lost weight she would be the hottest girl he had ever seen. This entire spiel was presented as a grievance and one of her "struggles" and she expected everybody to believe it. I've always been sceptical about why Amber refuses to drive and I think the mystery has been solved. She'd be hard pressed to squeeze behind the wheel.
