Let me know if I'm the only one who's baffled and unsettled by this sort of thing, but:
This mixture of "You're not allowed to photograph public protests because if you do Nazis will dox the innocent people in the photographs," and a dash of "I'm a tough guy who punches Hitler every day and doesn't afraid of anything," seems to be everywhere on social media lately.

I agree with her. Less photographing Nazis being beat up, more photographing fine architecture so we can be like that one Austrian architecture afficienado who painted lots of pictures of his favorite buildings.

Let's unpack this: people seen being beaten up by Nazis are often charged for it. Also, it's (generally) fine to take a photo of someone making a speech in public, unless they've said they want to remain anonymous. So, the corollary is that I should be able to stand in public, in the middle of the street, and make a speech, but also demand that no one photograph or film me.
What's that? You think that mass political violence going on near where you live is somehow your business? You voyeur!
"Privacy." I'm pretty sure privacy is something you forfeit when you go out in public, at a protest – an event that, by design, attracts attention – and start fighting with people.

The most embarrassing thing is that her Twitter handle is a lame pun on the name of a female Soviet sniper who killed something like 300 Nazis. ("Nazis," in this case, is being used to refer to Nazis.)

They're right. Photographing them beating someone up is wrong. You should be hitting them in the head with something heavy and hard, or small and fast, to end the attack, while someone else records it.

Do these people not realize that just about every single person in single every urban area in every single developed country carry their own camera on their person and that it's kinda sorta human nature for these people to want to keep momentos of unusual things like fights.
People that actually think like this are going to have to smash a lot of people phones if they're going to need to smash the fash first, but it can be sort of promised they'll get their asses kicked the moment the phone hits the ground, so good fucking luck
