Steven Universe - Now a Griefing Thread

Maybe I'm losing interest or maybe last episodes were actually rushed and have a weak writing. Show had, like, three episodes of Pearl suffering from lack of Rose's pussy to eat, but diamonds had pain of their killed (not so much) sister for thousands of years and had a second or two to deal with it and then everything turned out to be just fine. And Steven looks kiiinda Mary-Sue-ish to me lately, tbh.

I don't know why people keep expecting Steven not to end a conflict peacefully since that's what happens nine times out of ten.
I'd like to see something more serious, tbh. Because not all the situations can be solved by crying and talking about feelings, some people (or in this case, gems) could be too damaged, too angry or indifferent to cry and let you do what you want. Sometimes the only way to defend the ones you love - is fight, like it happened to Bismuth. If kids can deal with themes like sex, homophobia and politics, I'm sure they can handle this too.

And, honestly, crying trick is getting old and way too repetative.

Not entirely true. The Diamonds have had their grief explored several times over the past couple seasons starting with the Zoo arc, and there was a big huge fight between them and the Gems before things were finally solved. Them aside, both Jasper and (Initially) Bismuth ended their arcs impaled by something made of sharpened metal and the guilt of using violence like that weighed heavily on the little fucker for half a season.

He also suffered several consequences for turning himself in to Aquamarine, ended up getting his friend stranded in space and got chewed out six ways to Sunday by his girlfriend for it.

Not saying the new stuff wasn't rushed, (especially the latest episode) but there has been some breathing room and not everything has been crying and talking it out.

I thought this kind of shit was dying down. :optimistic::optimistic::optimistic:

Can i call to attention Lapis and peridot are with Bismuth while everyone else is having homeworld fun. I bring this up because it was shown Lapis was caught and probably poofed into a mirror possibly by Bismuth. If that is true then, Lapis is gonna be hella pissed when she and peridot reform.

While I’m interested in seeing that, I can’t lie that I’m super more interested to see if they get redesigns after reforming to reflect their Crystal Gem status.

I hope Bismuth forges new weapons for Lapis and Peridot, maybe augmentations for Peridot--like her original limb enhancers. I'm sure Bismuth will do something at least for Peridot, she seems fond of her already.

Okay, so, I haven't watched this show for a while, but hearing about the movie made me want to catch up and see how it was going. My... extremely mixed... opinions about it aside, I have a wacky theory I want to run by SOMEBODY, and I don't want to go anywhere near Reddit or Tumblr.

The gems HAVE to be an engineered race. Nothing about their organization or reproduction makes sense any other way. They simply cannot have come from nature.

So who built them? And why? Is it possible they were made as conquerors and terraformers, who became so good at their job that they killed their own masters? Or could their creators still be out there somewhere?

It's generally agreed that White Diamond was the very first gem, and some think that she actually is Homeworld (like Ego from GotG Vol. 2) and created every other gem. But if they were an engineered race, we'll probably never know. And if it ever is revealed, it won't exactly change much about the show.
You probably should have put this onto Reddit.

Meh, they already saw each other and fought together against the diamonds. If they do recognize each other neither of them likely cares anymore.

Yeah, I imagine the next stage of the show’s story will be about the organic race that created them.

White Diamond is scary as fuck, she has no outline on her face and is pure light, the reason why Blue Diamond's hair is white is because of her (because it's dark blue in the mural), and she can possess bodies, which explains the Pearl with her voice.
