Suing him might not necessarily work for Cernovich but it wouldn’t be to his detriment either.
@DrJonesHat I love you (full homo) but I gotta disagree with you here.
I think that first off, no ones gonna spend money on Jake for the same reason that suing him for realsies would be supremely devastating to Jake, the same reason that no one would have his back, the reason
@Blue Jerkop elaborated on: he’s built this fantasy of being a trans woman who passed or tried or something, anything. A struggling soul with a horrible home life and living situation, with few prospects.
If any of that was remotely true, your premise would hold: some lefty lawyer would see a chance to make a name for themselves going pro bono against Cernovich and by extension the alt right. The problem here is that Jakey can’t be held aloft for sympathy by a gender neutral Gloria Allred with half of xir head shaved, because there’s absolutely nothing sympathetic about him.
Everyone knows this or at least suspects it. I find it really hard to believe that everybody just ignored all the evidence that Brianna Wu is John Flynt, but Bri Bri is a sympathetic character because everybody loves an underdog story, or at least a large enough segment of reality does that the Wu Campaign chugs along and has enough social justice support to be difficult to stop.
To use a shitty metaphor, even the shittiest NBA player has fans and people that buy his jerseys, but no one roots for the fucking bench warmer that not only refuses to play like Derrick Rose without the injuries but he actively talks seismic shit and hurls invective at his team, and the opposing team, and the audience and really anyone other than the cheerleaders.
Jakey’s been able to scrape by thus far because people ignore him or at best damn him with faint praise, because he’s so easily forgettable and powerfully dumb, but the second we’re proven right is the start of the very last instant anyone in the circles he desperately wants to move in ever gives a single solitary fuck about him. Him getting sued for his internet exceptionalism is the best possible outcome.
