Did Phil just genuinely complain about "The guy in school that pretended to be smarter than everyone, that slicked their hair back, that pretended to have tons of friends"?

Do you genuinely lack that much self awareness, oinker?

As usual, any scene with a trace of thought-provoking dialogue, displays of genuine emotion, or introspection means he has to try to make a joke over it. With games that have long ass cutscenes like JRPG, it's like watching a movie with Phil loudly talking over it behind your seat in the theater.

Persona 5 joke/plot spoilers
He was probably upset at the idea that Akechi, an antagonist, had no friends or companions, except for his partnership with Shido, while the protagonists/Joker and Co. were a team that supported each other, like those darn other youtubers and twitch streamers, and then later Akechi's "sponsor" betrayed him, like how Machinima and Curse dropped him. So he had to try and joke his way out that scene, it hit too close to home for him.

I believe he is in panic mode at this point. Which leads me to believe he actually lives "paycheck to paycheck"

I think for years he just budgeted based on his gaming revenue. So he would rack up credit cards expecting to pay them off. Then the 2015 copyright strikes happened and he got fucked. Assuming he's being truthful of course.

I know Phil didn't want to admit it, but is this confirmation that his AdSense appeal was denied and DSPgaming is officially dead (as an income source, that is)? He must have gotten an email during the break and looked up how much he is making from KOG, leading to this rant and the "special ALERT" announcement on Twitter. He's without a doubt moving exclusively to Twitch and leaving his YT channels to rot, giving his fans the ultimatum to either stay and pay or leave/"do or die" as he puts it. It's telling he'd rather burn the YT bridge completely than "settle" for an extra $300 every month for uploading hour long videos. The greed is MASSIVELY strong with the Pigroach. I really hope this backfires on him badly. If there's one thing most people hate being given, it's ultimatums.
The most slimy thing any content creator can do in my opinion is to hold content hostage behind some sort of participation. Every time I see it I think, “why would you turn down any type of money just because you’re making less than you want?” In phil’s case it’s a massive underestimation of who his YouTube audience is. He thinks those views are from actual fans, but they’re mostly people like us who are looking to laugh at the dumbass. Are they going to go to his patreon or teespring? Not to buy anything.

Also, he’s getting 1000 views on his KOG videos because he’s not uploading three million parts of a stream, those “inflated” views are 100% the same views, but I bet Phil’s dumbass didn’t up the ads to compensate for that. But that would involve foresight and not “reactionary” strategies to “save muh house *SNORT*”

aaaand there's the panic I was expecting to see from him. I was wondering when the denial and shock would wear off. . .just took him longer because he can't interpret numbers for shit. Yeah Dave, your views are shit. As little as 5 ad misclicks per video on your new uploads could have fucked your AdSense account, or 5 sycophants per upload. This is all because you never spent 1 fucking second trying to learn anything about where 40% of your income came from.

He's shit talking Google and YouTube like they already said 'No'. Probably just another thing he's spinning lies on because his NPD won't let him publicly admit to an 'L', he's already blaming 'those assholes who watch my videos on YouTube and don't personally send me $5000 a month.' Get ready, we are going to see some spectacular begging, blame deflection, GinSydeRants, complete slip ups on his lies, etc. He already sounds close to tears at the idea of moving into an affordable place.

Plus denial. Thinking its just a temporary dip, it'll pick up later in the year, he can still afford his lifestyle he just needs to take out a credit card so he can pay it later WHEN the money comes and so on.

To be honest he's had so many chances to not fuck this up. Even putting all the whole "its his fault his channel is in the shitter/Not his fault his channel is in the shitter" argument to one side, he's had plenty of chances to not fuck up his finances. Even if he couldn't help the massive revenue dips from his channel, he could have saved money back when he was making a huge amount of money back in 2011 - 2013 instead of buying expensive cars, going to fancy restaurants, buying random shit like expensive statues and art and so on, he could stopped living above his means and trying to mimic a fancy lifestyle instead of being in denial that he can't afford his life style and continuing trying to live that lifestyle years after and instead lowered his monthly spending to something more affordable, and finally he could have not taken out credit cards for really silly things such as headphones and plants. These were all his choices, not detractors.

I can't believe a guy that plays video games (badly) for a living can sit there and tell his YouTube audience to "STEP UP". How the fuck do you tell random people that watch your videos on a public site that they have to start giving you part of their paycheck

Edit: in his begging video Phil says "is it worth babysitting the videos, putting them in play lists, tweeting out when they're live for $10 a day??" that's probably what his patreons make an hour and he can't spend the 5 minutes for $10 a day, especially since he is uploading in chunks now

So none is better than some to dave?

It's telling he'd rather burn the YT bridge completely than "settle" for an extra $300 every month for uploading hour long videos.

I made this comment a month ago about Phil's financial motivation and Game Theory

Basically, A and B people are offered X amount of money. A is given, say, %40 less than B. A feels hurt by this affront, and to take revenge for this offer of a lesser portion, chooses to take none of the money rather than some of the money.

This comes back to his belief that money to be made is offered to him as an equal, to be split evenly between him and Youtube.

Also, he’s getting 1000 views on his KOG videos because he’s not uploading three million parts of a stream, those “inflated” views are 100% the same views, but I bet Phil’s dumbass didn’t up the ads to compensate for that.

I don't think he could up the ads if he wanted to.

His last No Man's Sky video has 6 ads within 45 minutes - about 1 ad every 7.5 minutes. He had 10 minute videos on DSPGaming with one at the beginning and at the end.

With longer videos, ads have to be placed where the viewers will most likely be watching, which is near the beginning. He can no longer bookend his videos like he used to. He has more within 10 minutes, but they're kept up front. So I think it works out to about the same.

He talks like there is no overlap between the people who watch him on Twitch and Youtube. Sure there may be some who do one or the other, but it isn't like he has millions of fans to divvy up between the two.

Yeah these people he is telling to "step up" are working the same jobs he constantly belittles claiming how easy they are while also being too far beneath him to even put in an application just to see what happens. He could get a part time job, have 1 stream the days he has to work 2 the days he has off, and still get the same amount from Twitch he gets now. Hell his streams would probably improve because he would finally get outside of this bubble he barricaded himself into and remember what it is like to be a person living in the real world.

Eh, fuck it. Give me your money or i'll give up $300 extra a month. How could his ungrateful fans put this gun to his head?

Edit: He wants double to triple his current Patreon money. This guy is too much.

Tuesday may very well be his free consultation with a bankruptcy lawyer. hard, cold, and realistic options will be layed out in front of him by someone, other than him.... it wont be pretty when that day does come.

...I'm pretty sure it's to get a haircut. Yes, everything all day is cancelled for a haircut. Yes, he's done it before. What you're suggesting is something he should be doing.

Phil said during Ask the King pre-stream that Youtube essentially told him to fuck off and talk with AdSense about his issues because his AdSense getting banned isnt their problem

Supposed he hasn't heard back from AdSense but I imagine that's about right for a denied appeal

Holy shit, you're not joking!

One of the greatest living directors and one of the most in-demand directors in Hollywood tunes in to watch the Phil Burnell train wreck? That's nuts.
Well, most of the stuff he does that isn’t semi-horror themed is nerdy as shit, which is presumably why he got in touch with Kojima. I wonder if he found out about Dave through him?

@drgnkiller , @SoapQueen1 tracks the total more closer than any online tool I've seen and generally catches one-time pledges and whatnot. They should be able to help you out here.

Edit: Oh, and according to Graphtreon or whatever, Phil's best month ever on Patreon was just shy of $1500 in June, July, and September of 2015.

Double Edit: Jesus Christ el Crimson King fucking wins-- https://twitter.com/elCrimsonKING/status/1023071322656538624

This is amazing because the detractors basically win at this point; youtube is now their ground because he will not upload for free. Remember guys Phil has a channel on youtube its called Almighty Tevin.

As for his finances I think he is fucked now this is panic time. He is paying nearly 4k a month in mortgages. He never leaves his house so his electricity and other bills are huge. He is paying taxes on top of this too which he will owe IRS next year of his first 3 months after the tax year. He will probs not grow on twitch because Phil impairs that with his toxicity.

September is going to be fucking beautiful because he is going to go insane. As for Khat lets say she is going to bail shortly because the money is DONE. I do believe he has been living paycheck to paycheck.
