I first read James Gleick's Chaos: Making a New Science when it first came out in 1991. I've reread it a couple times since. Have you ever read it? I've also read many papers from others on chaos. I've written about it quite abit and have tweaked the Wikipedia article a couple of times.

Many physicists have compared how the Universe works to a symphony, but none of these scientists have ever played in an orchestra. A pops symphony/ jazz orchestra is a better comparison since it contains a great deal of chaos/improvisation/individual interpretation.
