Oh god. Barb's going to demand that Chris pay for repairs on her car now, isn't she?

As he should, if someone commissions my car, KNOWING it's in disrepair, then breaks it, I'm billing him, as disrepaired as it may already have been.

At least he hasn't spazzed out yet and broken the key. It won't let it turn when it thinks the car is in gear or the steering wheel is off. Also he might have to turn it back because it was never fully turned back in the first place.

Lol. I believe I called this.

Let the begging commence!
I’m not a mechanic, but I’m almost positive you just have to keep jigging the wheel around, my old Toyota of a similar era did the same thing from time to time; there should also be an ignition release button under the steering column

I seriously have no idea what else to tell him or who to call. Can someone more mechanically inclined chime in?

You want REAL advice? Start begging for money, unless he can find a tow that accepts whatever card he has or AAA. Starters wear out, if it's the engine that's not turning, he probably already made the starter more damaged. If it's the key tumbler not turning, then I have no idea, maybe some graphite lube will fix it or maybe not, I'm not going to tell him how to spend his last 20 bucks.

You want advice for you? Chris finds trouble, and fighting that is like fighting entropy. You hooked him up with Too Many Games and he got himself kicked out. If you also helped him get to Bronycon, this is two for two when you help him and it backfires, both times he'd have no trouble if he stayed home, so think about that.
