So Guilty Gear just ended at EVO and I decided to check in on Phil. First words, literally the first words I hear are "been doing this for 10 years." I have no idea how long he has been live, but when I started watching top 8 he was already on. He's explaining the stream labs leaderboards right now. Bruh, the 200 people here are the same 200 who are always here. Play the damn game.

Edit: He is explaining all the ways to give him money, and then he has to do shout outs :stress:

Yolodopper cheers: I finally got my girlfriend to sit down and watch one of your streams, interested to see what she says.

Dopper's GF: Is this like, a talk show or something? He's just talking about how he needs money, I thought he played games.
Wait, he thought streaming during EVO was a good idea? The tournament who’s viewership actually overtook Fortnite for parts of the day? I know he’s stupid as all hell, but damn.

You know i'd give a pass, even to Phil, if like once a year he had a "moment of weakness" because of cryptic behind the scenes shit or whatever. However, when you have these normal adult human moments a few times a month you kinda just have to admit your a shitty person lashing out at anyone and everyone because you are pissed you fucked up your life. Its not like i'm mad, but come on man make an effort to control yourself. He doesn't even have to get off the loveseat to accomplish this one.

His best step to recovery would be not to say "makes me act like a jerk sometimes" but to actually admit he's a piece of shit and always has been because he knows and everyone knows that the "sometimes" is a straight up lie.
He has to realize that the reason detractors exist is because he created them himself. Had he been honest with himself a long time ago and actually tried to become a better person he'd have less detractors and have more money thrown at him and a building up of respect from people in the LP comm, FGC comm and in general. Had he thrown jabs at people during his FGC days in a less cunty way and later not gloat how he was "YouTube famous" this wouldn't be his reality. He'd probably still be going to events and instead of being mocked, insulted etc etc he'd actually be wanted at them like Alex and Daigo are.

It say's a lot about his ego.

Our boy Dave suggests there's a conspiracy afoot at the ol' Evolution this year, beacuse as you all know SFV is stupid and lame.

Ouch. Can you even enjoy watching EVO after that? One would imagine he'd be at the age now where he's passed all that. Time is an all-cure, but Phil carries around a giant sack of shit and just won't let go.

Of course not, how else is he going to shift blame for his failed life.

Tevin update: he's appealed his permaban. Won't stream on mixer unless twitch denies said appeal, so just YouTube for now. States that he thought about saying he was depressed in his appeal. Fans rejoice and clamor for more chopped and screwed mixes.

If he gets allowed back on twitch, I predict much gnashing of teeth from DSP and company. Especially with all the stuff DSP has said about twitch being a safe space and trying to rid the site of the toxic negativity which thrives on YouTube. Or he'll just go "don't talk about detractors/give them attention" and drown his pain in Tanqueray once the camera is off.

He's still salty about the job he was fired from almost 9 years ago in 2 months, so of course he's salty about EVO still. Remember, nobody cares about EVO, it doesn't matter! Until he needs to use his 4th Place EVO position as leverage during some argument. Then EVO is HYOOJ.

Why would anyone be salty over being fired from a retail job? That's, like, a rite of passage. You aren't a worker until you've been fired from some pissant meaningless job for trying to bend, or outright break, the rules.

Why would he want to go back to Twitch? It’s obvious they are just a greedy company that support and enable scum. Tevin must have been making decent money to grovel back to Twitch.

Depends on your definition of "decent". He had around 150 subscribers and most in his channel were subs. Every time I watched his stream on twitch he had anywhere between 100-200 in the channel and chat was pretty active. Cheers and tips seemed alright, but I don't know what "alright" is for a twitch channel.

Really like how he tries to act like he's super busy and swamped with all this "work" he has to do, when in reality it would take him an hour, at most.

You know, with all the BSing he does about his "work", I think he rendered himself unable to have an adult conversation with anyone outside of his autistic sphere. Imagine him trying to explain how busy he is with his job to another human adult and when they ask him what he does, he says "play video games on my couch". Anyone would laugh in his face. No wonder he is such a shut in.

He wasn't working retail, he was working for a company that makes helicopter parts or something. His dad hot him the job. And he wasn't fired exactly, he was laid off due to downsizing.

It's interesting that on his business profile one of Phil's dad's jobs was to streamline efficiency and he lists one of his accomplishments reducing the number of required employees.

When you consider that that is all additional/bonus income mainly received for reatreaming Phil or ripping on Phil, and a lot of times he just leaves his streams running unattended and still holds 300+ people, that’s decent from any perspective.

What's also comical is him talking about not having time to workout or whatever, and how he can only walk around the house or some such.

The restreams and unattended streams are just on YT though aren't they?
Or did he also do this on Twitch?
