Besides being turd touching the board is also ostensibly supposed to be anonymouse. This isn't the People's Liberation Army of Goutmenistan, it's not any kind of organisation. It's a collection of anonymouse individuals laughing at, discussing, and sharing information about a cow. The board is the wrong place to try to control people's behavior off the board, nor is it responsible for the actions an individual decides to take in their personal lives.

Phil is honestly delusional.

He seriously is pushing the fans to keep the july "performance" going long-term. I know it's nothing shocking to everyone here and him saying he may have to do some "really shitty" decisions if his financial don't improve in 102 months or if the 10k bullshit doesn't continue.

He has to realize that the reason detractors exist is because he created them himself. Well, not really an Alex Valle or a Daigo. They can still throw down with current pros when they go to tournaments. He’d be more like Maximillian or Aris than anyone else. Not really good enough to get any placements of note, but well-liked enough that tournament organizers would tap him to commentate and have publishers give him preview access. Aris/Avoidingthepuddle even kind of looks and sounds like a way less obnoxious version of Phil.

I just had a thought. Given that we have a pretty good idea of the bottom floor for Phil's salary he's probably closing into if not already blown past having made over a MILLION dollars off his 'job'. Let that sink in for a moment.

No question. If you go for the "worst case", he made his first big bucks in 2011 (I know, 2010 too, most likely, but let's lowball). Given that we can reasonably estimate an income of 90-100K these last couple of years based on both direct observation and indirect observation (the amount of state back taxes he alluded to, for instance), and he's claiming this as a decline in income, he probably made $150-200k+ in some years. So yeah, there is almost no chance he hasn't made more than 1 million dollars over the last 8 years or so.

Edit: Special shoutout to "notallmiketea", who cheered just shy of $25 tonight and then got banned. Not sure if they were a troll or not, but either way, g-fuckin'-g, moron.

An hour at most that could easily be sandwiched with regular old free time too. Not breaking new grounds here but all of his "work" is stuff that could easily be, with an easy mindset, be stuff he does laid back. In fact it probably is which explains why all of the stuff where he has to micromanage is shit.

What was the connection between notallmiketea and Npbsmith25? And what was he banned for? He has a picture of Tevin's Youtube channel in his Twitter pictures for some reason, was that it?... (Sorry, I can't information gather for shit.)

Oh, these were two separate users. notallmiketea was cheering throughout the night. TheOutsyder (on twitter) seems to think Phil thought it was a play on "Almighty", as in Tevin, but waited him out to get as many cheers as possible while largely ignoring them. This is why troll cheering is stupid.

Npbsmith threw down $25 right at the end of the stream, and then I saw that tweet on Phil's post.

If someone wants an example for "Short Term Thinking Phil" this is the perfect one. Instead of finishing the sequence NOW by simply investing additional 20 minutes and be done for, going into the next part of the game without any delay - he resets, has to do the sequence again (additional +45 minutes instead of none) to an audience who already knows that sequence, has to move or erase the H1Z1 schedule and piss people of. Great! I know nobody who cuts in mid sequences (this is basically an unwritten holy rule: Don't cut mid sequence), only Phil does that, for years. But he has to because of ... something that couldn't wait 20 minutes longer.

He's the guy who works in a real job the exact time he has to work. Even if he's in the middle of something important, like holding a rope to not let the heavy steal beams fall on his colleagues. Well, time's up guys, time to let go. Sorry, can't deal with the wounded and dead today because some asshole decided to put me in a situation where I have to work overtime, ack ack ack.

In every single job you have to be prepared to work a few more minutes (or even hour to hours) if there is some stuff that needs to be done right now. Darksfidell handles work like an ergotherapie tbh.

Heavily Late Edit: Waiting for a sequence to be done isn't even considered work. You sit there, wait, maybe choose an option if there is any, and wait even more. He literally couldn't bring himself to take the action of "Watch and do nothing". Amazing.

At one point in the few hours between getting banned from Twitch indefinitely and negotiating [groveling] that ban down to only 72 hours, Dave did indeed panic-enable Super Chats. I can find video timestamps if you give me, like, ten minutes.
