Why would he want to go back to Twitch? It’s obvious they are just a greedy company that support and enable scum. Tevin must have been making decent money to grovel back to Twitch.

Tevin streamed every night for very little viewers. His bump in viewer numbers happened relatively recently. Most of Tevin's streaming was before Twitch's Affiliate program which allowed streamers unable to fulfill the Partnership requirements to have Subscribers and get Cheers i.e. to make money outside of Paypal donations.

I've heard him say he's never monetized his Youtube channel because he didn't want to make money for Google, while he liked supporting Twitch. This would have been before Amazon bought Twitch though, so perhaps his opinion has changed.

He has to do 40 mins worth of stuff in 6 hours. Oh no.

I believe our friend Philip is a patron of Parkinson's Law, which states that "Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion". He has 6 hours to accomplish 40 minutes of work. Those 40 minutes will be stretched out to take 6 hours to complete.

That tshirt is terrible and almost certainly runs afoul of branding issues if someone wanted to point YT and Twitch in his direction.

The "Youtube" and "Twitch" both immediately follow, and are even touching, the eye drawing "Hate" emboldened with exclamation marks. Did anyone else think for a second it was saying the Hate is directed at Youtube and Twitch?

Look, Secretlife always does quality work and this video is no exception, but what the fuck? Trying to deplatform anyone, even Phil, is going too far in my opinion. Where is the funny in this? What would be funny about Phil getting thrown off Twitch and making a video and being able to say the detractors fucked him over and be 100% correct? also the difference here is that phil is breaking the rules, he IS fucking up. that's what the tweet is talking about.

Dave is not getting kicked off of twitch, if you think he is then you aren’t seeing how much they protect him, and partners in general. He would have to fap on stream again or something of similar ridiculous levels and cause a big commotion for them to actually do something at this point.

phil could kill kat live on stream and twitch would give him a 2 hour ban and a light slap on the wrist, they're just letting the gouty rot sit and fester on their website. i hope the money he is making is worth it.

Maybe this post belongs in the whining shit street section, and I know people will say it is Phil's words fucking him over people are just drawing attention to what he said, but I don't know. Something just doesn't sit right with me about this.

I'm a little leery of it, but at the same time, there were some blatant violations of Twitch's ToS that I hadn't seen before (the CoD "cock fag" one, for instance). If Twitch is going to suspend others for saying "fag" or "coon", there's no reason Phil should be getting away with it.

Did I miss something? Did DSP offer to show people his high school transcripts? If he's waiting for "school to open" that's stupid because schools have staff that work during the summer and it's pretty easy to get a high school transcript at any time.

No some people here who were trying to figure out the exact truth made some calls and found out that the info on past VD's cant be given until the school opens........something along those lines

I don't know where Phil went to high school, but if the school is nice and they have money they usually list that on their website year-by-year. If it's a shitty school they don't bother. My high school's website didn't update for two years, once.

It doesn't necessarily seem to me like TheSecretLifeOfDSP is actually trying to deplatform Dave. What I do see him saying is, 'How is this behavior acceptable and going completely unpunished on your platform @Twitch?' Because of Dave's own fuck-ups another punishment could lead to a Twitch ban but that's pretty . From what I've seen of him SecrectLife is somewhat of a decent person and may really just want Dave to improve as a person and stop broadcasting racism, homophopia, and constant toxicity.

Everyone is free to report Dave to whatever the fuck they decide to in their private lives. You can't try to police someones behavior for trying to police someone else's behavior. Just don't organize it on here and don't comment direct actions you engaged in to the board expecting anything other than ridicule. Besides being turd touching the board is also ostensibly supposed to be anonymouse. This isn't the People's Liberation Army of Goutmenistan, it's not any kind of organisation. It's a collection of anonymouse individuals laughing at, discussing, and sharing information about a cow. The board is the wrong place to try to control people's behavior off the board, nor is it responsible for the actions an individual decides to take in their personal lives.

Wait, he thought streaming during EVO was a good idea? The tournament who’s viewership actually overtook Fortnite for parts of the day? I know he’s stupid as all hell, but damn.

Not only that but he played SF 30th Edition and expected to get good matches. 99% of them were against the same guy. What would make someone stream Street Fighter, while the biggest fighting game tournament in the world is going on is beyond me.

Dave pulled out a bit of revisionist history during 6 Aug 1st stream pre-stream. Apparently Dave says that Machinima let him go back in 2017 because they were downsizing, letting go of channels that don't bring in enough money like Curse did recently.

I could actually see this being true though. If Machinima were downsizing then they would get rid of channels that don't make much money and then channels that are causing the most problems. Even if Phil's channel was making decent money, is it worth the hassle to deal with him bitching, and constant fighting on his behalf to get a bunch of 5 minute videos put back on his channel?

Yes. I have 6 gifted subs on July 28th (so expiring on August 31st) and confirmed it from the log. I have 2 gifted subs expiring on Sept. 2nd and 7 subs expiring on Sept. 3 (from July 30th and 31st, respectively).
