Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

Like Zack has mentioned before, SJWs always announce when the conversation is over.

That's a power dynamic thing, by terminating the conversation on your own terms you control the conversation, You had the last word so they're thinking about what you said. I use this one occasionaly when interacting with the general public when they're being a stupid, its actually quite hard to do correctly as it requires a good feel for the eb and flow of the conversation.
Charles Dance as Tywin Lannister uses this to dominate conversations in Game of thrones for example.
Naturally they usually do it incorrectly however, they terminate the arguement mid-flow when they're clearly upset and the other guys isnt and is pushing his point. They also announce they're doing it which is a mistake and they amplify this by adding a 'zinger'. This makes them look petulant and weak.
Toby should have gone with a softer less confronational version of his reply, where he simply states he doesnt believe her demographic buys his stuff. He calmly should have gone back and forth with her until he's clearly in control then terminate the conversation but doesnt acknowlague it at all and avoids mentioning comicgate for a while unless directly brought up.
But that's the differance between a authority figure and a tubby nerd. It's funny how Sjw's are obssesed with power but don't actualy know how to create it or carry the authority.

Because there's no video footage of Capn Cummings trying to receive a refund for almost a YEAR now. Nope not at all. He's NEVER tried in any way to contact you about getting his refund. Maybe all of the correspondence was on the hard drives that kept dying and you just forgot.

Really makes you think.

Cummings is now desperately grasping at attention again by openly mocking Jeremy Hambly after he was assaulted outside GenCon.

I might be late with this take but I can't help but find this hilarious. For all the lack of self awareness that SJWs manifest this one takes the cake cus no mather the movement, hashtag or persona, it seems like the only constant: power. These types always go about how the pesky haters want the upper hand and oppress them but from almost any perspective you can see their genuine thirst for power and the only place they can find it relatively easy is on "niche" communities like vidya and de funny books.
Its all about manifesting that ambition and reflect yer own insecurities on your rivals. Hell, you can even feel both for some of them cus in a few years they will grow up and cringe. But people like this motherfucker, I can only laugh.

Every time I watch a TUG video on IDW, I’m always reminded of this meme:

Spooky:

I doubt they even care. IDW seems to be walking away from comics in favor of television and brochure printing.

The newly crowned CEO (hired or rehired September 2017, promoted to CEO in July 2018) had an interesting press release announcing the promotion, where the word "comics" was conspicuously absent, but the word "television" appeared nine times. In fact, when I flipped through the first four pages of press releases, I didn't see a single one about comics. It was all television adaptations or routine corporate crap.

As an aside, They've got $32 million in "Inventory" on their balance sheet, $29 million of which is production costs for television. I put inventory in quotations since it isn't a tangible good to be sold, but deferred costs they'll theoretically recoup as Netflix shekels start flowing in. (The wonderful world of Hollywood accounting, what can I say?) If whatever deal with Netflix they've got cooking falls through they're screwed as a company, since that will all have to be written off.

They've got a quarterly report coming out sometime in August. (They've got an October 31 fiscal year end; July 31 is the end of their third quarter.) Will have to waste an hour trying to remember how to analyze financial statements when it does, for my own amusement. Unfortunately Edit: they only break out segment data at year end. I am an idiot. They do break out segment data, I just didn't scroll down far enough. End Edit

So has Hasbro told them they're fired yet? Who do they think is paying them this money when all they produce is garbage nobody wants?

Nothing I can see, one way or the other. Despite being publicly traded their quarterlies aren't audited and they don't file 10-Q reports, I guess due to the market the stock trades on and the overall size of the company.

Their little "Punch Nazis" fantasies would be laughable if they didn't label anyone right of Mao and Lenin as Nazis.

They also never take into account that maybe the "Nazi" they attack can take the punch and keep on rocking. It's always "one shot and done" bullshit. Never "how to stay in the fight when you start getting hit back" or "how to protect yourself" or "know when you're punching above your weight class."

What's going to happen when one of these soypops roll up on a dude who not only knows how to fight, but likes to fight?

It'd be interesting if they go after ex-soldiers like Ya Boi Zack.

They have a bright future as youtube highlight stars:
