Is Daggerfall worth playing?

High Rock is the safest, easiest choice. On one hand it could be boring, on the other Bretonnians ( I guess that's what you'd call them?) could really use some fleshing out.
I mean, I guess. Their lore now is pretty much that they were elven sperm receptacles so long they they got good at math and stopped hitting each other over the head with clubs as a past time. Frankly, I think that's boring but also I don't think nuBethesda can make it any better. I'd rather they used any of the Mer or Argonian provinces so they have a healthy supply of weirdness to work with so that they can maybe not just shove us in a game where you have to deal with more Bland European fantasy.

On the other hand even if they used the Mer provinces or the Black Marsh they'd still find a way to bland them up

I too would love to see the Black Marsh presented in the Argonian Account books but I doubt we will. I don't think they really have the ability to make all the things that are presented to us in the lore of the books in game.

High Rock also has Orsimmer, so both the Breton and the Orc cultures would get fleshed out some more.

Obligatory:

Calling it, TESVI is High Rock so they can rip off Game of Thrones.
So like what Daggerfall did?
It would be like Daggerfall but more akin to a crappy GoT. Just to call it further, they'll likely focus on the Wrothgarian mountains or Dragontail mountains if the trailer was anything to go by.

Daggerfall was good,it's not much different than skyrim as far as play goes, just without all the fancy graphics and facepalm-worthy voiceovers. It's also pretty easy to have your character go assassin>vampire in that one, which is wicked fun.

Also, am I the only one who got bored with the repetitive and unrewarding radiant quests and never bothered actually finishing skyrim? I am an exceptional individual as I managed to get Lydia killed (who's supposed to be invincible) by virtue of her getting bitten by a dragon (which is a one-shot kill)... but,the bethesda bug is a myth, lmao

Lydia is in no way unkillable, which is why there are mods to make her so. It's just relatively hard to get a companion killed without kill cam or magic AoEs. This is why Mjoll the Lioness is the one true companion/wife.

she;s supposed to be one of the ones that's tagged "essential" in the code i thought, meaning they dont usually die from combat they just get "knocked out" for a couple mins if HP= 0 and then get back up and keep going.
I actually cheated a dungeon that way,the one where the super-draugr or w/e he is is at where you get trapped in the crypt with him and his cronies until you kill them....I apparently went there too underpowered and died/reloaded a couple times, then I thought to hop up on the statue-things in the corners of the chamber, out of reach of attacks, and just left it sit until my follower ground them all down, slinging the occasional weak fire spell here and there (was doing a thief/sneak build) lmao

She's not though. Companions in general will flop to the ground and start regenerating health, but they can still die if kill-cam'd or they take enough damage on the ground. Essential characters can't be killed by any means except bugs and console commands.

I swear the only way companions can die in skyrim is if you accidentally take a swing at them. When I last played Kharjo took being sent into orbit like a champ.

I finally got around to playing Morrowind (for real this time). I wasn't really into it the first couple of playthroughs, but on my third playthrough I'm spending more than a couple hours on the game. I'm playing a High Elf mage this time not that anyone gives a shit and, aside from the escort missions, I'm having a gay ol' time.

The main thing I've noticed is that this game is way fuckin' better than Skyrim. Morrowind has a giant crab that was slain, then had multiple mansions built within its massive shell. You can levitate through the air at high speeds while throwing knives at the people below. Skyrim, on the other hand... well, it's got dragons I guess.

Only thing that really annoys me so far (aside from the constant crashing and escort missions) is the "rest until healed" mechanic. It'd be nice if there was a downside to doing it or there was something preventing you from resting multiple times in a row. Otherwise, it's really easy to just rest until your magicka and health are maxed out after every single fight.

...speaking of magicka, is there an enchantment or something similar that gives you constant magicka regen? It would certainly be more convenient and possibly OP than just resting over and over. If not, I'd at least like to know of some vendors that sell more than one or two "restore magicka" potions at a time.

Yeah and don't forget it was in the year everything had bloody dragons. Fucking minesweeper had dragons.
Ofc after some time in Skyrim dragons become as annoying as cliff racers.
Btw check out Skywind - it's a fan project made to get Morrowind on Skyrim engine. Idk if they include all the fun stuff tho.

Should be able to do something with crafting. Crafting's game breaking.

The combat in Morrowind is based off dice rolls, which is lame and gay. I think there's good mod packs for it, but inevitably they get taken down by asshurt modders who didn't give permission or whatever. Maybe someone has a good one to download somewhere.

Comberry is the only ingredient I've managed to find with "restore magicka" as one of the stats.
