Boogie and Wings should fill that hole 6x over.

WingsofRedemption just depresses me. He reminds me of a friend of mine who once told me when he was drunk that he would have killed himself ages ago if he had the courage to eat a bullet. That was a whole rabbit hole of a conversation about the selfishness of suicide and the selfishness of people who knew the person killing themselves.

Wings just isn't as fun for me. Maybe it's because I hopped on the hate train late.

Fred Fuchs is the one who started the whole, “oh, you shouldn’t monetize detractor videos, it’s not morally right, blah blah blah,” and he turned out to be a ridiculous piece of human garbage. I don’t get the problem with detractors making money off their content. Memology does a shit ton of editing, so why doesn’t he deserve to make money? That whole not monetizing thing needs to stop.

What Fred meant was don't monetize Phil's contents because his (former) MCM, Machinima and Curse, will claim them and siphon all the ad revenues to Phil.

But the fact that he forced other detractors not to monetize their contents because it's immoral was hypocritical when a few of podcast videos on his SOK channel was monetized as well.

Fred claimed that monetizing Dave content was immoral, and the person doing it is just as bad as Dave.

He used Dave for charity though. And that’s okay, apparently.

Eh, I mean he's been at it for years and I don't think that's his primary source of income. If I had a hobby that popular I'd probably monetize it too. I don't really see what's skeevy about it. Petty? Sure. I don't see a moral issue though.

It's hypocritical to point and laugh at Phil while doing virtually the same things that he's doing. I've got no issues with people monetizing videos but making a video saying "ack ack ack look at this dude's shitty merch" then having the pinned comment be a link to your Teespring filled with essentially the same merch for $20 a pop is a step too far to me.

A bit of accidental fake news. Godfather and GTA would have gotten netted by ContentID for licensed music. Same goes for "EMERGENCY!", wherein "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie plays for several seconds. Fred was rabid about nobody ever monetizing things (except for charity, thanks @thebonesauce.) I would be stunned if legit non-compulsory ads showed up on SoK content.

You cant move from dsp to wings. Boogie maybe sure. But wings is less a cow and more staring at someone until you catch them doing something. Kinda like big brother. Also he is actually depressed and you cant get entertainment out of a depressed man. His streams are less entertaining than dsp.

His trolls on the other hand and the channels that show highlights (shoutout to sean ranklin, big ups liquid richard, lord of the wings) are.

Dsp is laugh at dsp. Wings is laugh at what his trolls do. Boogie is...disgusting

2 random minutes with DSP: Eternal Darkness

Two big-name streamers show up

Diction is a "Detractor in training", as he once titled his stream after his Twitter bout with Phil. Fairlight_Exalibur mentioned this was his favourite game, so I'm guessing he glanced at the Eternal Darkenss directory and decided to check out the stream with the highest numbers. To give an illustration of Fairlight_Excalibur's size, his Twitch page has 17,191,600 views compared to Phil's 6,381,744.

Phil either didn't see the Twitch celebrities in his chat or he didn't care to address them.

The protagonist has come to a blocked door and a wall with a small hole. He is able to summon a "Trapper", a dog-like creature with an ability to teleport objects to another dimension. Maneuvering the summoned creature through the hole, Phil discovers a body on the other side that is blocking the door. Clearly the Trapper is used to get through the hole but Phil is at a loss of how to remove the body. He resorts to aimlessly running his character around in circles.

Eventually he's told to "'Target as the trapper by holding r2.' Now how the fuck would I even know!" "If you stand next to him it doesn't do it but if you target him it works", "Unbelievable." According to a perusal of an Eternal Darkness playthrough, he was taught how to do this 3 and a half hours ago.

By this point the two Twitch celebs were no longer active in chat, but they were still in the viewer list, so hopefully they got to enjoy Phil cursing out one of Fairlight's favourite games.

Well, no. Because people hate Dave for his
1. Lying
2. Begging
3. More lying
4. Treating fans like shit
5. Living like a king while begging

Making fun of his shitty merch is not the REASON detractors exist, so it's not really hypocrisy to sell your own shitty merch.

When Snort or Memology or whoever starts doing prestreams where they talk about how they need money from their stupid fans, then we can talk.

For note; when Tevin got fired and accused of attempted murder, he didn't do a REEEE Fundraising stream, though he DID talk about it, and he was honest in saying it wasn't great to lose his job. He mostly just talked about random stuff and played old gangsta videos.

And because he wasn't begging for it, I don't see anything wrong with him accepting tips and stuff to try and help him out.

It's not about the money, it's about the attitude, and until the detractors have that same kind of attitude that Dave does (Fred and chunks of the SoK did, especially at the end) then you're not being a hypocrite.

Shame you showed up a little too early to catch Phil literally taking minutes to stare at his phone to read a guide to beat a boss whose strategy was, as far as I can tell, "wait until he stops attacking, then attack". Even better was that KornDawg4Mod was in chat saying, in essence, "what he's reading on the guide is what I told him to do".

I wonder if he'll use those elite editing skillz he's burnished since the (maybe) death of DSPGaming to take out that segment of him staring at his phone while not playing the game.

Have we already done all the speculating about what daves good news is tonight?

I really don’t want to think he got DSP back...but that pigroach luck...if he squirms his hooves out of this one dave truly is invincible

Edit: I guess he already confirmed he didn’t get his Adsense back, so yay I suppose

Not standing up for those assholes but it's totally possible those ads were Content ID matches. The emergency one had Total Eclipse of the Heart in it and the GTA and Scarface ones would have had the radio playing. So in this case I would say that is why there is ads.
