Do you suppose Phil sees the irony in claiming he couldn't play for 20 more minutes b/c he "has a life"....while arguing on Twitter during the time he's supposedly having that life?

To me, the glaring irony here is Dave's implication is that streamers are all in their early 20's, while he's a 'real adult human'. Almost makes one realize that he's a (comparatively speaking) old man desperately clinging to a 'job' that is largely populated with young people catering TO young people and is living the lifestyle of, essentially, a kid while he boasts about how grown up and mature he is.

You see this all the time in his go-to defense about his viewers being 'dumb kids' who don't understand how 'the world / real life works'.

This tweet of his basically confirms he is a children's entertainer, and nothing more... despite how grown up and adult he wants to try and paint his life as being.

Making fun of his shitty merch is not the REASON detractors exist, so it's not really hypocrisy to sell your own shitty merch.

When Snort or Memology or whoever starts doing prestreams where they talk about how they need money from their stupid fans, then we can talk.

For note; when Tevin got fired and accused of attempted murder, he didn't do a REEEE Fundraising stream, though he DID talk about it, and he was honest in saying it wasn't great to lose his job. He mostly just talked about random stuff and played old gangsta videos.

And because he wasn't begging for it, I don't see anything wrong with him accepting tips and stuff to try and help him out.

It's not about the money, it's about the attitude, and until the detractors have that same kind of attitude that Dave does (Fred and chunks of the SoK did, especially at the end) then you're not being a hypocrite.

I said the example I gave is hypocritical and I never claimed that making fun of his merch is why detractors exist.

Parlaying your notoriety as a detractor into a fanbase for content you produce (ala Tevin, TXT, Bhil etc.) isn't a problem. Directly piggybacking off Phil to try to make money (which I accused Tevin of earlier in the thread and I stand corrected on) is and it isn't just pozloading my neghole, it's climbing into the pigpen with Phil and rolling around in it.

You guys have to understand that Youtube is run by a company(Google) that censors,ban,change and even deletes channels for "terrorist propaganda" and "racism and harassment" while hypocritically keeping channels and videos that support Islamic terrorism, beheadings, and suicide bombings. Channels such MTV and pro-blacks that spew racism and other forms of bigotry aginst white people. How any expect Google to enforce their own rules and regulations fairly, when they proven time after time again they won't do it. Dave is just lucky that he's using a social media platform that's run by morally corrupt and greedy corpation.

Even aside from the economics of it all, look at the life he's living, he's a physically inactive couch potato with no friends or any kind of family life, Khet is the only person he interacts with in person and who knows how long that'll last, and his life revolves around chugging mountain dew energy drinks in order to muster up enough energy to beg young punks for money before poorly playing games he couldn't give a rat's ass about otherwise.

I can't recall which kiwi farmer said this, but "He might be surviving but he's not living".

He got the "invalid click activity" flag removed from the DSPGaming channel but still can't monetize the channel (it's "disabled"). So tomorrow he's going to do an IRL stream where he sits at his computer and talks to Youtube live chat again so he can fleece the dipshits who watch him a quarter at a time.

Incredibly optimistic of me i know but I'd like the google employee that has to deal with him to ask a few questions rather than answer them. You know, like 'what do you mean by dummy account?' And 'can you link me your channels to assist in this?' They can pass it to a supervisor that realises he is rorting the system and do something.

Even if he gets ads back on Dspgaming his income will still take a hit without the Curse ads. He will still be struggling since he's already on the edge. He still hasn't paid any federal taxes this year, and has his hopes of doing so being increased income through the end of year. Little has changed, maybe just buys him slightly more time until he has to make those hard decisions that he says will hurt his credit.

Well, I think we just have a disagreement of definition. I call it "petty" but not hypocritical.

I also don't believe detractors inherently have the moral high ground off of Dave, so until I am convinced otherwise, I assume they're already in the mud.
