My own grievance with 50FootAnt was him basically taking over the story threads.

I liked reading the ghost stories thread and then he comes along with his huge multi-part posts about ghost nazis or something. After every of his posts, at least 10-20 goons would pile in to sing praises and to beg for more. I remember one goon saying he was throwing money at his monitor in a bid to support Ant if he ever released a book. His posts also scared off people from contributing because they felt they could never match the writing skill of Ant.

The stories themselves were alright I guess from what I have read.

I honestly liked his /tg/ stories, honestly probably gonna have to go find some.

I always speculated the house he was in got condemned as IIRC there was a lot more wrong with it than just the hoard (I seem to recall he posted some videos of him rooting around in the crawlspace looking at problems), that he was forced into that cleaner apartment, and forced to get some help. I have suspected that while his situation (hoard, whatever problems he had that caused the hoard) may have been real, the videos were at least somewhat, if not mostly, playing things up for laughs as his understanding of the Montreal Canadiens betrayed sufficient intellect, analytical skills, and awareness of reality that I wouldn't associate with a severely unmedicated schizo which the actions taken in the video would imply if completely unironic. But it was always just real enough that I suspected things weren't all for laughs.

Whatever the case, the 3 part series on cooking A tomato where the line "and now we get the liquid wrench" was uttered is in my toplist for internet funnies. :lol:

He has a new channel called masaohf that he used to post on for a while in a much cleaner house. Take it with a grain of salt but in one of his vids he basically admits that he would get drunk and fuck around in his old vids and that he doesn't actually live in that house.
This is compounded by the fact that he's apparently the Canadian equivalent of a business lawyer, which implies he actually is pretty knowledgeable and has his shit together.

50FA was not as annoying as the people, on either side, who just would not fucking shut the fuck up about 50FA. Like give the nigga a new account that wouldn't spawn 5 pages of "OMFG YOU ARE BEST"/"50FA & anyone who likes him should be killed so they stop stealing oxygen", with 5 more pages of "Shut the fuck up about 50FA" mixed in, and he'd have been alright.
My main issues with 50FA's stories was 1) They'd start out good, then he'd milk them fucking dry. 2) Related, he refused to break kayfabe and insisted all his shit was legit, real, 1st or 2nd hand events - which led to point 1, where he'd try to over explain everything and answer all the goon questions about his stories indepth for the next 50 pages.
He was some cold-war era boot sent to the hinterlands of germany, then he was a bad-ass first sargent that the LT let run the platoon in Saddam's Iraq, but then was a like a corporal or some shit in some Colorado missle silo. But was also running some hunting lodge for a friend in Montana, while his Girlfirend-Wife-Fiance-Wife-Wife-ExWife-Girlfriend-DeadWife who was the love of his life was the reason he never boned any of the big-tittie blondes - either because he didnt' want to cheat, or they were working on getting back together, or he was too bummed out about her being a corpse.

But yeah, if he didn't suck the oxygen out of a thead, 5,000 posters with really strong opinions about 50FA would.

That goon who told stories about being a zookeeper was okay, but when there is a person in an online community who is known for making stories suddenly everyone wants to make stories too. And they all want to be the best story teller so you get shit shows like the anime husbando thread, the super smart ninja assassin ivy league graduate Asian gangster girl taking over an ask/tell thread about low level, petty Asian gangs, the teenage millionaire silversmith girl, and that guy who made the hotel story thread who got modded for laughs and lost his mind.

Goons can make hilarious, fucked up stories easily by just being their own goony selves, the best goon stories just come from goons being retarded and wanting help.

Can’t imagine complaining about 50FA on the one hand and then bemoaning the dead gay white noise state of SA on the other. That place needs some kind of quality content- any at all really. Right now it’s just Dennis Farrell and Zack Parsons occasionally shitting one out on the front page and even rarer (and fucking terrible) photoshop threads.

Lowtax is a great example of why "follow your dreams" is bad advice a lot of the time. If he'd gotten off the computer and stayed in college like his parents pushed, he'd probably have a dece STEM job and not be living paycheck to paycheck in an ambien haze on the whims of autistic communists with gender issues. For the first couple years he probably thought he pulled one over on squares with 9-5s, but like all dying e-celebs I bet he envies the normie life right now. IMO most careercows like him wouldn't have turned out so bad if more people responded to their life plan of "do dumb nerd shit until I get rich" with "nigga u stupid, get a real job or I'm not talking to you anymore".

Lowtax never ceases to surprise with regard to what he'll get up to in a manic state. Without sounding too sappy I think he probably did come across the number/name and decide to try and just say hi. Reading those messages he comes across as a frustrated dude whose life isn't going great and probably wanted to reach out to Mandy because he knew her pretty well in the past, even if the connection was through a child-porn diaper fetishist. Kinda sad to be honest.

I think SA could have totally worked out in the long run and would have kept him away from a 9 to 5 if he'd just invested the money he made better and didn't waste it on dumb shit while letting his goose that laid the golden eggs starve. He didn't even only let it starve, he enlisted wolves to look after it only because it was the cheapest option and they were being nice to him. On top of that, he's still enough of a thin-skinned faggot to still not admit to this day that he did anything wrong. He deserves no pity.
