My Little Pony

I've liked it for a while. Its something I watch when I'm bored and I just wanna turn my brain off and watch something innocent for a while. I never really pay attention to the community, but I do like watching other people's opinions on it.

Also, screw season 3.

I've liked some stupid childish crap in my life. I remember liking Fairly Odd Parents in my 20s. Would I have fairy wings tattooed on my back and go to conventions with a wand up my ass? No. That's dumb.

So why couldn't people just watch MLP in the comfort of their own homes? Why did they have to pollute the Internet with their stupidity?

I dare say that the MLP community beats the Sonic community in the tism in every way possible.

Back OT: I've never seen it. All my reactions are from observing the fans. (Same with Twilight.)

I babysit my six year old cousin who's really into the show. It's just a dumb innocent show that grown men have latched onto.

I've watched the first two episodes and, while it's well written and I like some of the characters (especially Rarity and Twilight), it didn't feel like it was for me. Not enough spandex or robots maybe...and I hate Pinkie Pie.

I like it. I guess. It can be funny at times. I really like the music, both original to the show and fan made. It is made for little girls, and that puts me off of it a little. I'll be damned if Magic Duel wasn't a great episode though.

I do enjoy it, quite a bit. I didn't find season 3 super off-putting (Equestria Girls is terrible though) and indeed some of the season 4 eps are excellent. I like it a bit more than perhaps I should but honestly I have a limited range of interests when it comes to TV shows, in part due to my face-blindness and inability to really understand people, so I prefer to stick with comedies and kids' shows. But with MLP it's also partially because the music is surprisingly awesome for a kids' show. (The season 4 ep Bats! has the greatest damn song ever.)

It's alright, but horribly overrated and overexposed... I've seen better shit on the same channel this POS is otherwise on, too. Whether y'all agree with me or not...

I've seen bits here and there, but that's about it. I was way more into it in the 90s.
Nothing against liking kids media, I saw Monster's University in the theaters, I'm pretty sure that's the last one I saw not counting Rifftrax Lives.

At its best, it does what every good cartoon does: provide for kids, but also throw in a special something for the older set. And as other critics and reviewers have pointed out, it's interesting how much it stands out from other cartoons with its relative innocence.

But if you want real entertainment, you take a gander at Lauren Faust's social media profiles and read up on how Hasbro wouldn't stop rustling her jimmies.

I can see the appeal, especially to children (less so to adults). I have said elsewhere my response is lukewarm because of the "origin and intent" of My Little Ponies, they are anthropomorphized ponies with the psyche of a child and therefore idolisation and sexualisation, which is a common theme in Internet Pony Fandoms, is discomforting.
