Now he's ranting about how all the mainstream social media sites are screwing him over. Funny thing is that he's complaining about how youtube buries his content and that they're promoting stupid vapid stuff.

Youtube has always promoted stupid vapid family safe stuff, going back the days of irate gamer and how youtube promoted him over AVGN(but the free market won in that battle).

Also, its not TJ's right to be promoted by youtube, its like me going to Hollywood and saying that I should get more lead movie roles because I'm more talented than Pauly Shore. It's youtube's service, their business they can do whatever.

TJ has the right to say pretty much whatever he wants on youtube, he just doesn't have the right for it to be monetized

Now he's trying to find a platform in places like gab.ai and bitchute where he gets less views than even Brett Keane. He's essentially burying himself and burning more bridges by stooping to some fringe sites infested with neo nazis just so he can be slightly edgier.

A major problem with TJ is that he truly believes himself to be an important person. He views what he does online as a having a major effect on society (or at the very least, is on his way to having a major effect on society). At times he's modest, but most of the time he props himself up on these high pillars.

When the adpocalypse first hit, he urged his fans to support him because voices like his are the ones "that are telling the truth" and need to be propped up at all costs. When he wanted to bash Google for treating him like shit, he would argue that he "rakes in all this money for Google" through advertisement views on his channel and that if he disappeared then Google would take huge hit. When he got into drama with assholes like Steve Shives, he would brag about his subscriber and view count (both of which have since taken a dive).

The best thing for TJ to do right now is to begin to understand the sad truth: he is small potatoes. Even in his prime, he still wasn't near being the biggest YouTube of all time. He has his small slice of e-fame and earned it righteously, but that's all he has. He isn't that important, noteworthy or high up in life.

TJ is now back on Twitter. Twitter reversed their original ruling on his suspension and have given him his account back.

Path dependence. In a normal job, if things start to go sour, you can chalk it up to experience, put it on your resume, and hang on for the time it takes to find another job in your field. With YouTube, you make yourself a potentially huge PR liability while developing no skills beyond amusing speds and leaving no paper trail as to what your work ethic is like. This has been gone over pretty extensively in the Spoony thread, but it's worth reiterating- what job could he get, with the massive paper trail he's left behind? If you achieve any kind of success on YouTube, you pass the "internet is forever" threshold, so everything you've ever said or done can potentially come back to haunt you. And hoo boy, does TJ have ill-concealed skeletons in that closet.
