The problem with Gamergate is that those that lead the charge did exactly what they criticized the journalists for. They formed cliques, abandoned their core principles for money and focused heavily on promoting some ideology.

Jim's definitely not a fan of sjws but his Gamergate videos focused solely on the stupidity of the situation and on the behaviors of the people involved. This video is basically Jim turning around and giving the "skeptic community" an ass-kicking for doing what the games journalist did. The current form of Gamergate doesn't give a shit about character, they just care about ideology:




What's most funny about this situation is that they dug their own grave and are paying for it because they helped Google develop Candid's AI. Dunno if the stuff about Candid's program being the AI is true but it would be fitting if that were the case. They didn't give much of a shit about a free internet being a thing, they just wanted to get back at those sjws and increase their own influence and ironically contributed towards the fall of their own internet spaces and reputations. Smaller Youtubers like ShortFatOtaku would have definitely jumped on the Candid train if they had the chance.
