Firstly, good on ya Trump, what a man. As a backwoods fellow myself I applaud this, though I'm not sure how much more I can love our beloved Cheeto in Chief. Secondly...I really should get one of those patches.

That reminds me:

What do you think of the "bombshell book" Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House (which I once saw in my local library [I think])?
It gave us the gorilla channel meme and Wolffe made an extraordinary amount of money doing the exact, same thing that Omarosa is doing. I think it's a brilliant plan and I'm amazed that it's worked more than once. I would have thought that after the third-degree burns they took for rallying behind Fire & Fury as staunchly as they did, they'd have learned to keep their hands off of the stove, but God bless them they went right back to high-fiving those stovetops without so much as a second thought.

So basically it lies and makes shit up about Trump to get him in trouble.

Basically the TDS crowd believes whatever it wants to believe, and the media shells out an extraordinary amount of money to every single one of these people no matter how unbelievably outlandish their stories are. All it ever does is make them look completely ridiculous and cost them a big, fat check every time that they go chasing after one of these Omarosa types, and they still haven't learned that it's only doing them harm.

Stormy Daniels, Omarosa, Michael Cohen, Michael Wolff, how much damage did any of them actually cause to Trump? How much damage did any of those tapes ever cause to Trump? Now, how much damage did any of them cause to the media's credibility? I think the real answer's somewhere between those two, but the media's yet to stop and bother to ask themselves about it because they're so busy chasing after that block of cheese that they don't notice the iron bar whipping down at their face.

So what's she doing right now? Playing a villain, and making a shitload of money

She has drama acumen, sure, but she'll be broke in a few years. She has expensive tastes and married a pastor. People love the drama of a villain but they're not going to spend $25 for the book. She probably didn't get paid for any of those TV interviews either.

https://money.cnn.com/2018/08/13/media/reliable-sources-08-13-18/index.html

On Monday, "Unhinged" finally cracked the top 10 on Amazon. Now it's publication day, Tuesday, and the book is stuck at #5, behind a book about the ketogenic diet and several others. On the Barnes & Noble website, it is #4. First, let's put that into context. Then let's dig into why it's not #1...

Wolff hit #1 on the online charts as soon as "Fire and Fury" leaked, and the book stayed there for weeks.

More recently, several other Trump-related books have topped the charts. Two of his Fox News boosters, Jeanine Pirro and Gregg Jarrett, hit #1 with their respective books last month.

Weeks after launch, Jarrett is still in the top 10. On the other end of the spectrum, Rick Wilson's contribution to the resistance, "Everything Trump Touches Dies," peaked at #2 last week. Wilson had plenty of cable TV hits to plug his book, but he had nowhere NEAR the rollout that Omarosa has had. She has been soaking up press for four straight days. She has been on two of NBC's flagship programs, plus multiple MSNBC shows. She has been "trending." So what gives?

Omarosa's accusations are going to go down like an uppity black woman's story about the racist white cop who pulled her over and raped her while calling her a nigger bitch, and the White House recordings she made will be the officer's body cam footage that proves she's nothing but a lying sack of negro.

I'm not entirely convinced that this Omarosa fiasco is actually how it appears at first glance. She's not just some random woman he appointed, Omarosa's worked with Trump since 2004, and she's always had a penchant for "playing the villain." According to some of the interviews she's been a part of, Omarosa says Trump, "Uses the N-word every 2.2 seconds", and yet she never once called him a racist, and she never once walked away from her job. She had to be "fired."

Where are all the recordings of him doing that, if he used the word so much? Did he just duck under desks or dive behind curtains to grunt it out underneath his breath? Did he have to break away during his Ellis Island Award Ceremony to hide in the bathroom and scream about watermelons and KFC? Have you heard the snippets from some of her "secret recordings" yet? Listen to how ridiculously clear some of these sound. That microphone has to be right beside Kelly as he's talking, that's not just some cellphone in a pocket.

Kelly told her that she was already under suspicion for illegally recording conversations, so she snuck high-quality recording equipment into a SCIF without getting caught, and then she went on to write a book about it? I have a really difficult time wrapping my head around that one. Omarosa was known for her ability to make people angry at her. She's used to being hated. That, and her business acumen, was her whole shtick when it came to her TV personality.

So what's she doing right now? Playing a villain, and making a shitload of money off of interviews loaded with Wolffe-esque gorilla-channel-tier nonsense and an Anti-Trump book that keeps the press running in circles for yet another handful of magical, impeachment-worthy tapes, and all she has to do is have a slap-fight with Trump in the town square.

+1'ing this post.
This is Omarosa making a quick buck, probably with Trumps approval.
MAybe even his idea, keeping the outrage machine going so the Dems are plenty burnt out on TDS come november.

Given this man kept himself in the news for peanuts by allowing his enemies to bitch about him constantly and kept feeding them so his name would stay in the news and he paid basically nothing to accomplish this before he was elected, this would make perfect sense for him to do.

Here we go again, people who've never had a job insisting that no job is a stepping stone to another, and every job is meant for permanent, lifelong support in middle-class comfort.

I love our military, don't get me wrong, but it's not meant for full-time permanent employment. We were never meant to have a standing army.

The armed forces falls so far outside of "typical" career tracks that it's effectively it's own animal. Yes, some of it is recognizable as "job" stuff like payroll and benefits, and office politics, but a lot of it just has no "civilian" analogue if you think about it...

What other job out there, for example, drums you out after "X" years if you haven't made a promotion?

But, like any other job, there are time-servers who took it as the best for now, but don't expect to stay, and then there are careerists who would consider it a failure to have to find something else.

It's just so unlike anything else on the whole, even saying "pay cut" doesn't tell the whole story.

When someone says "I just got out of the Army" there's a weight to it you don't hear from someone saying "I just got out of foodservice"

Omarosa is just another in a long line of people who have tried to use Trump as a springboard to fame and fortune.
And just like you said once the 15 minutes is up they all inevitably fade into the background.
This isn't limited to people who oppose Trump either. I think we all remember how Bannon tried to become some sort of GOP Kingmaker...Right before that clusterfuck in Alabama put a stake in his careers heart.

oh you don't remember #shirtgate? The scientist who landed a probe on a comet, then his big day was ruined by Twitter feminists who changed the whole story about how his shirt was demeaning women?
A shirt that was gifted and custom made for him by his female friend?

This was kind of the sped litmus test

If people you personally know didn't jump from the IdPol bandwagon immediately after this event happened then they were probably beyond saving in the first place.
