Chris owes Ebay $300, and wants $15,000 CASH for the BMW. He only wants sincere buyers, and reminds you to hurry up and buy his overpriced originals.

Chris logic. Seriously, very few people are going to be willing to pay that much for the car and even if they were, very few people would make such a large transaction in cash. It does happen, but it's very rare. What gets me is that right below that he says that he needs to pay Ebay, so he wants people to purchase some of the other items in his store. I wonder where he thinks that he's going to get the money to pay Ebay for those auctions...

I just love that no matter how often something happens or how serious it seems to Chris at the time, he will never learn a lesson properly the first time and apply it to the future. This is part of the reason we keep coming back: no matter how many times he hits a wall, he keeps getting back up and running towards it. He may run at different speeds or have different postures, but it's the same damn wall.

I'm just curious: why is Rosechu flashing her vag in her WAC picture? Lesbians that tried to come out during previous generations ran the risk of getting raped as a way to "fix" them. If this was anyone other than Chris I'd say that this was a subtle way to reflect on that, but with Chris he probably just thought it'd look "sexy" and didn't even realize where the rip was placed.

Part of it is probably because others have paid the price of it on his behalf like with the time when he could not pay for postage of his items. Not that I'm saying that Chris would suddenly become fiscally responsible if he had to suffer for his bad decisions, but the fact that people will keep rescuing him from financial distress makes him even less likely to learn.

He knew, he was asked about it. He says it's one way he can prove she doesn't have a pickle.

I think they simply close your account.

But if it's a major fraud, they may sue you.
They wouldn't sue, they'd spend thousands to get a couple hundred; that'd be stupid. And they don't close it; they suspend it until you pay. They suspend it (and not simply close it/delete it) so you can't try and remake an account using that information. And because links it to his paypal and he links his paypal to his bank... well it won't be a fun time for him.

The part I'm interested in seeing, however, is the paypal fees for next payperiod. The next 'bill' will include all his medallion sales.

What does ebay do if you can't cover your fees?

They usually automatically bill the Paypal account linked to the eBay account first - if that can't cover the fees, they suspend your account, close all current listings you have, and then send a few mildly irritating emails demanding money. Addresses, email accounts, etc are often cross checked to see if you have opened another sneaky account to avoid fees, and that one is closed too if found.

After a (very short compared to most places - often less than two weeks) while, they ramp it up 1000% and pass it on to a collection agency, even if it's a matter of a few pennies.

They're normally fine about reopening an account even if it has been delinquent for a long time once fees are paid, though. My first eBay account had fees owing, and I just forgot about it, as I had a bit of a crazy couple of years, moved halfway across the planet, changed email accounts, etc. Paid the fees six years later and it was as if they never suspended me.
