It would be surprising if they actually described someone as right wing without the 'far' prefix.
Anyone to the right of literal Mao Zedong is considered "Far Right Wing" to those hacks. Hell, these same people try to claim Bernie Sanders is a moderate/right leaning.

If you aren't into gamergate, or any of these circles this video was kinda boring. A big let down imho.

Jim does such a great job normally making groups we aren't aware of or in interesting. I don't game but the wings video was a riot. The content was great and wings was a mess.

Matt video felt like an hour of "oh he's a hypocrite" I didn't get much lulz, while many other of his video subjects are also that they have good traits to laugh at, showing the fall from grace etc.

For how long it was, I was really expecting some big blow up. As I said before, often you see the fall from grace and it's shown well, like someone like game dude video or wings never heard of but grasped how they grew in circles. Matt video really didn't flesh it out to me, I felt like ok, so he's someone who bitched at Zoe Quinn?

Far from upset listened to it learned about a lolcow but just felt empty. We all swing and miss hoping Jim's next is back to normal.

Yeah it did seem to lack a lot of the research his videos usually have. Jim has certainly done better, but I feel like this video was still classic Jim even though it felt like it was meant to be more topical and reactionary rather than investigative. His last few videos have been like that, and I'll admit I'm a little disappointed too. I'd like to see more videos like Terry's vid Kraut's series. Can't be too disappointed tho, beggars can't be choosers and such. I'd take a one minute video over weeks of nothing.

Kraut is another example I didn't know of or care, I enjoyed those videos he had done a lot of work to back claims, show the story and then throw his own bias in.

Honestly I found the whole saga and net drama like Kumate etc not my flavor. They were quality and I sat through em and felt enjoyment and learned. Now Channel Awesome I knew nothing of and was dying laughing half of the time both by Jim's work and these people's behavior.

I really like the internet insanity, Terry is a total riot, I hope he does more videos like that but even when I'm not thrilled or into the content I normally really groove to his stuff as some backround white noise. I probably won't relisten to Kraut for another few years because even with his good work I just think it's well dumb as a story.

I do agree fully beggars can't be choosers and I'm glad he's producing, we all swing and miss at times for all fans. I'm not paying his bills and tons of people really seemed to like the Matt vid (over 200k veiws in under 48 hours at time of posting) so I'm glad he's doing work people enjoy because that pushes content creators.

Jim does use KF for citing since we are really damn good at it, I wonder if he pokes his head in this thread? If so, please hit up one of my favorite cows Lucas Werner. Jim dealing with a pedo science hobo would be a total fucking riot.

My experience is that Jim videos are inversely enjoyable to how knowledgeable you are to the subject beforehand.

If you've followed a story closely, you don't get much, if any, new info from a video of his. If you are new to the subject however, it's a great way to condense the whole story in a short time and to highlight any spectacular happenings.

I really liked the Kraut saga, as well as the two Eichenwald videos recently, as I hadn't looked into those events closely. The DSP catfishing event on the other hand didn't add much if you had followed it here on the farms. Similarly, before the Wings episode I had watched the interview Metokur had with that group of guys mentioned in the video (of which one had housed Wings in his house for a dieting/training project). After listening to that podcast, not much were added watching the Wings video, but it was of course much more succinct.

I think Jim is at his best at about 20 minutes length. Less than that and he doesn't explain the subject thoroughly, and more than that, and it's just more detail than I'm interested in, especially about some otherwise boring fucking idiot like Jarbo, who I couldn't really care less about.

It's like complaining a test is too easy after spending years reading the textbook. But I do believe Jim's best work when he manufactures his own cows/shitstorms.

Things like Deviants that started out as "Make fun of art on deviantart" and became "Exposing a babyfur as government scamming autist, and Calling FNGR a cuck". Or even Jonathan Ross who pretty much got a thread here cuz of metokur.

Or when he covers fairly obscure niche communities like findom or gangstalking. I've complained about this before but I feel like he's becoming too topical and prioritizes the newest drama over the weirdest most interesting shit

Can't quite say I agree with this. I ignored GG entirely while it was happening and only really pieced together a vague history of it within the last year. I wasn't even aware Matt was a part of it at all, I just remember him occasionally showing up in my YouTube recommendations. And yet this video was so much fun to watch because Matt was such a colossal fuckup. The part that really got me was when it was suggested he pull up his report list and when he did he revealed how full of shit he was.

That said, I would have liked to have more than just the stream. I do kinda agree that Jim didn't go into too much detail about Matt himself. While it was fun, it wasn't as informative as his best work.

There was already a thread on him long before that, it's just that it was started by a bigger lolcow than the subject of the thread, and soon attracted even more lolcows bigger than the subject of the thread, so it was utterly fucking incoherent and nobody (or at least me I guess to speak for myself) could make head or tail of it.

A couple halal threads came out of it, though.

That's more than many of his other videos get in just one month. I know Jim usually doesn't have trouble reaching six digits within a day of dropping something, but damn. The urgency to see this video before it potentially gets "mysteriously" flagged is that high, isn't it?

It would be funny if we saw the amount of attempts MM had at reporting Metokur's video, if anyone with the expertise to count how many times he did (I don't flag videos so I wouldn't know) that would be swell.

I think it's a combination of factors: 1) Jim's viewers were thirsty af after the drought spell 2) He siphoned views from Ralph's (and anyone who was involved in that streams) fanbase and 3) it's an ongoing drama involving a moderately popular youtuber instead of a niche community 4) yeah lol Matt is gonna flag it so we have to repost the shit out of it before he does.
