The irony is stunning.
The people who want to oust Trump think he IS Caesar. He ironically is much closer to Cincinnatus in that he doesn't put on airs, admitted he mostly is in the White House to do the job (he didn't even want to live there if he didn't have to at one point), and has given no indication he plans to NOT return to what he doing before he was President when he's done.
Ironically, the person these idiots wanted to win is far closer to Julius, who outright admitted the republic was becoming superfluous and whose heir basically did become Emperor in all but name, and said Julius counterpart's attempted rise to power also involved buying votes and strong-arming the levers of power to launch a coup against their rivals.
