he has no idea who the NJPW roster even are outside of maybe Omega and Okada.

Are they in the game? I thought it was a bunch of random unlicensed characters in the game, and part of the fun is doing Create-A-Wrestler.
I promise you he knows who's in NJPW, or at least all of the Bullet Club. He's the kind of wrestling fan who jizzes over being "smart" and how his knowledge of wrestling is superior to the mainstream fan, and how Roman Reigns/John Cena should turn heel and this is how he'd do it.. etc

I can't believe he's gonna play Fire Pro Wrestling. Calling it now that he'll drop the game and shit on it, he'll never get down grapple timing and he has no idea who the NJPW roster even are outside of maybe Omega and Okada. Shame he'll make that classic series look like shit because he'll be utterly incapable of grasping the subtle timing and positioning required to nail attacks, but that's Phil; everything he touches looks worse just by being with him.
Haven't looked into this much yet but does this have any kind of career mode equivalent? The older titles were more like having a virtual collection of wrestling figures for you to make your own fun, which means creativity which isn't one of Phil's best traits. This will quickly devolve into Phil watching ai controlled matches while commentating over it.

I know it has Steam Workshop support so he'll just download everybody elses' work and profit off of it. He did the same with WWE 2K, he just downloaded characters available online and did CPU vs CPU matches just like Bazza "pioneered" on Twitch years back with his VGCW series.

The only real wrestler in the game by default is Yoshihiro Takayama, even then only if you buy the charity DLC (guy got paralysed). You have to make all the wrestlers yourself, or just download other community edits. Not only that, you have to make all the rings, belts, aprons, alternate costumes, etc etc

It's entirely make your own fun, the whole appeal is booking your own fantasy matches with the insanely specific AI and moveset settings that you can fiddle with and letting the game play them out. You can't really "win" at the game, all you do is give the game all the tools it needs to play your dream matches out. You can play them yourself, but the whole appeal is booking your own storylines and running your own dream fed, as opposed to most other wrestling games which play out like you're a character in an existing fed. I enjoy it but will fully admit it's very, very autistic and certainly not for everyone.

So how about that $50 donation that he refused to acknowledge? And the fact that he has no recollection of giving Rambo a broken arcade stick, letting him fix it, and then asking for it back? It’s almost like if it hasn’t happened in the last year, he has no recollection of it ever happening. Deny deny deny. That is the pigroach oath.

Mmmh. Dunno man. Why not literally print his dick on a shirt?

If he would be fully aware of his "TEN YEAR LEGACY" bullshit as the biggest meme he ever created, I would call him the most genius conman on Earth.

I think it's less Dave not remembering rather than him being specific and finessing things. The broken item he gave to John was an arcade board that John Rambo then had fixed by some guy and upon learning that fact DSP apparently asked for it back. Rambo talks about it in their tell-all.

Dave ofc claimed fake news because ofc he never gave a joystick to Rambo. That's a negative detractor meme *insert smug DSP picture here*

That’s the thing though; he didn’t even claim that it was a detractor thing. He literally just kept up his usual bullshit of, “I have no idea what you’re talking about. I have no recollection of anything you’re talking about.” It’s the same thing, over and over. Deny. Deflect. Rinse and repeat.

I thought Howard was given it?

He won’t play any Nintendo titles because he can’t get ad revenue. You know, because Nintendo illegally steals the ad revenue. And he could totally take them to court, but you know, *snort* it’s just not worth it. Okay?
Unfortunately Nintendo doesn't understand TRANSFORMATIVE works. Could you imagine a canvas maker putting a copyright strike on paintings? Phil is an artist. He works hard, commentating for 3 hours in a row while pressing buttons (hence transformative). Unfortunately the 500 Japanese dudes huddled in their cubicles until 2am for 2 years making sure each frame of Mario's jump animation is perfect don't understand art or hard work

He works SO HARD and does such GRIPPING COMMENTARY, that often his voice becomes very hoarse! You guys don’t understand how hard it is to talk for long periods of time!

We will look up the walkthought of Shenmue so he will complete that .

I don't think the kids in his chat have the patience for a game like Shenmue. He'll make racist jokes for a couple hours, his chat will start complaining about the backtracking and the in-game clock, "interaction" will dry up, complaints on Twitter and in prestream, drops it soon after then he'll do his usual "archaic old game, doesn't hold up, peepul are saying the same things as me, dood" routine, completing it will be a Patreon goal before the end of the year.

He's probably going to play the PS4 version which will have NJPW wrestlers and a storyline mode (the PC version can get the same with the season pass which I'm looking forward to picking up). As for Phil being a smark in his own mind: honestly makes me laugh out loud.

Did Phil start the the final season of Telltale's Walking Dead? I am kind of curious how Phil handled the walkers in the trapped woods since the devs decided to sneak a little bit of actual gameplay into the...well...game.

I'm almost certain that was a scumbag attempt at getting Howard to pay for the board to be revived then getting it back as a "misunderstanding that he can keep it" after the suicide battery in it died. DSP must have known the cause of it dying and also likely knew people can easily recover them but it cost's a few bucks to have it done. That always seemed fishy to me.

I've left him a few comments on twitter suggesting he pick it up but never thought he'd listen. Lol

Seriously though, I could probably turn Phil into a competent player in an afternoon. Roster won't be that big of an issue, he'll be able to download any wrestler he wants.

Edit. Since I've seen a few people ask. Yes FPWW has a carreer mode. Atleast the PS4 version will.
