It's the hugos, this is like going to a fish market and complaining about the smell. as Spergy as the Sad puppies shit is they are still very spot on about the corruption and bias towards social justice the hugos have.

The three books she won for are shit, about half a book's worth of generic narrative stretched out to a trilogy. The only reason she won is because one of the characters is a tranny.

Shit, this has to be a kick in a gut for anyone who wants to tell their own stories and not to pander. I'm not saying you can't write about trans protagonist, but you can cast women in movies or you can make Ghostbusters 2016. I feel like Hugo are Oscars for Ghostubsters 2016 of writing.

I guess the comic is her new thing now and the game is on the back burner, just like how Camp Is Not Dead was put on hold to do the Chuck Tingle thing. Rebel Jam was probably put on indefinite hiatus to make Camp. There's a pattern here.

What I'm more curious about is how much she will tone down posts related to video games, especially if more than one issue of the comic gets written/printed released, will she drop the game grrl angle entirely? A while back I made a joke post about how she would disown video games the second she got an opportunity to work in tv/movies. Quinn covets that undefined narrative design role(I'm pretty sure her desired role is being the "idea guy"), and now that comic book adaptions are huge she probably sees this as THE chance to get a foot in the door, god knows that Paul Blart Staring Contest Simulator won't ever get her any opportunities like that.

Want to actually make money off of writing? Don't fucking write on the basis of winning awards. Aim for Simon Scarrow, Bernard Cornwell, Suzanne Collins hell, even fucking J.K Rowling. Don't aim to win awards. They really don't offer much of a boost to you and people who write only to win awards are paper thin hacks with ego's to rival the Chrysler Building.

Quinn's just an attention seeking prat who's been looking for that fame for pretty much their whole life. She just wears whatever is convenient for her while screeching the "alternate" label. She did porn, she moved into gaming, now seems like she'll be moving into comics in an attempt to shit it up and make a name for herself. These people are a dime a dozen normally, but Quinn managed to hit water at just the wrong time and rather than being some messianic figure for change in the gaming industry, she sparked an enormous conversation about corruption in the gaming and journalist industries, ruined numerous careers, tanked the sales of various games and developers that decided to embrace her message and aside from a few spergs online was forgotten as quickly as she was remembered.
