It's not even about having enough resources. If you're writing or hosting something that some giant corporation doesn't approve of, any service you make will get terminated. Maybe Patreon will ban you. Maybe your hosting service will ban you. Any social media service will almost certainly ban you. Hell, we're starting to see banks straight-up terminating accounts for people and services that they don't like. Massive corporate entities have an agenda and the power to stop anyone from countersignaling it.
