She doesn't even realised it's happened yet. One of the most intelligent people on the planet so how can she know she's got a brain defect, it's a pretty cruel existence.

Actually there is a strong correlation between a person's IQ deviating lower than their familial background would indicate and higher risk of developing Schizophrenia https://www.medicaldaily.com/what-b...ence-may-reduce-not-schizophrenia-risk-316966 although this correlation is true for risk of predisposition in the entire general population and each individual case has it's own unique factors. In general high intelligence reduces your risk factors, it doesn't eliminate them though. . .

Learned about her in the Marissa thread too and I remember the first video of her I watched, an argument with her angry neighbours when she lived in an apartment:

The translation is accurate but this is a bit too insane to know for sure what's going on. Looks like Dr. Horton used to hit the radiator and pipes in the corridors for hours, even in the middle of the night. And the parts she marked with "???" or "unintelligible" are perfectly intelligible, it's angry insults.

There are some discussions about her on German conspiracy blogs/websites too, some making fun of her but most being impressed and trying to help her spreading the word. Like this gentleman posting an 11-page letter of hers to her neighbours, asking them for support against the electromagnetic weapon wielding state terrorists. So she's going to protect herself from interlopers... by broadcasting her house, office and whatever she happens to be thinking or feeling that day. That's the exact opposite of what Jason Bourne would do.

But, seriously, poor lady is the worst kind of crazy. Imagine being so trapped by your delusions like that, day in and day out, to the point that fucking grassy bits or leaves in your vehicle set you off.

Thanks for clarifying.

I wasn't sure on the validity of that statement nor the science behind it, but I still find it sad that many incredibly brilliant people can be intellectually brilliant yet their perception of reality eventually goes out the window.

Katherine here is a really sad case of this and reminds me a lot of Terry Davis is that they are undoubtedly brilliant in their own narrow field, but their perception of reality is lamentably poor and their intellect seems to work against their willingness to accept a rational worldview, not the other way round.

In fact, I get this Friedrich Nietzsche vibe from her, as he was a brilliant philosopher but despite his insight into the human condition his ability to be rational around the same deteriorated to a tragic nadir.
