Can we talk for a second about how fucking absurd it is to think that every 10 minutes of content watched someone should have to watch an ad? Like, I use adblock so I generally can't stand ads, but I also have access to cable so sometimes I have to deal with ads, if it were every 10 minutes though I just wouldn't fucking watch. What world is DSP living in that an ad every 10 minutes is acceptable? I'd like to see them do that to a WWE Network PPV and hear Phil bitch about how they "showed way too many ads dood".

To be fair that's about on par with cable Tv. Traditional rates are 21-23 minutes of TV in every half hour; with ads at the beginning, middle and end. Traditional TV ends up being 2-4 ads every 10-14 minutes.

And that's one of the reasons why a lot of people have dropped television.

Exactly. In addition to advertisers' preferences, Youtube are also thinking of their users here.
They don't want creators breaking content into 'digestible' (read: shit) spam like Phil does, because that is not appealing to viewers and is devaluing the ads that are placed on them because they also get spammed, provoking users to get adblock. So they tilt their algorithms to bury these videos and channels in order to discourage creators from doing this.

They then favor videos that are longer, and in exchange for not spamming ads and abusing viewers, they will have your videos and channel promoted in the algorithms so that you have a chance to grow. Eventually, the greater exposure and fanbase growth, assuming your vids are good, will yield more ad revenue without devaluing the ads. This dumb-ass is upset because he can't have both growth and spam money. And he can't handle that stupid Youtube was smart enough to complicate his money grubbing.

These begging videos are getting worse and worse. NO FACECAM? We have to watch the shitty slide? He really... REEEAAALLY doesnt give a shit about anyone.
There are lots of signs of Phil's laziness right now - the delay in DSP Tries It, the slideshow for the begging vids, clocking out early several times this week... it all points to the typical trend - Piggy gets lazy when he gets fed, and he is getting fed right now. This 'begging' is just because he is attempting to capitalize on what I think he sees as an opportunity. He currently has the demonetization sob story for begging, but Tut has risen to fill that gap, so now Phil can do his usual beg, bury the extra money from Tut, and make extra bank, as we're seeing from his income summary. A few on here have speculated that his perpetual 'bills' are actually him aggressively attempting to pay off past credit card debts, meaning that this is a perpetual black hole, that he isn't actually desperate to survive, but that he would be motivated to get extra money if he can.

At this point, I'm starting to think Phil contacted Tut in private and asked him to tip instead of cheer, and possibly asked him to make anonymous tips so that Phil could obscure how much he is receiving, and maybe claim that he didn't even get some of it. Phil said larger tips make people less likely to donate, and since then, Tut's tips are still consistent, but smaller, and apparently suddenly all legit. In the case of tips, only Phil is able to verify that they are legit or from the same source - and anytime Phil becomes the sole keeper of the truth, it's safe to assume he is deliberately obscuring it in his favor.

It was an ALERT! this time rather than EMERGENCY!
Also has anyone turned off adblock and checked out a DSP video before? I haven't but I've heard there'll be like 8 ads on a 20 minute video and shit.

The 10:53 "Alert!" video had the usual ad at the beginning and end. A long video like the 1:13:16 Part 18 of Shenmue, for example, has 8.

Something is wrong with phil. He disabled likes and dislikes.

I had noticed the Likes and Dislikes of the "Alert!" video still enabled when I saw it shortly after it was uploaded. I don't know why it would suddenly revert to default (it was 8 to 22, IIRC).

I think tut switched to tips because he resented Amazon messing with his money. He had said that Amazon froze his account, followed by "no more money for Amazon" - The anonymous tips taken to be tut that were "charged back" was some one else (at least, according to tut) - He still puts the amount donated on his "Leaderboard", so I don't believe an anonymous donation would obscure the amount - Phil's worry with a bigger tip pausing many smaller ones from others is that the bigger tip was rescinded, leaving him without the bigger tip or the smaller ones - The lone factor determining whether those tips are legit or not is prolly the "charged back", which tut seems to have no inclination for.

Unfortunately for Phil, he's far to TAHXIC to be sponsored by brands now. The moment he gets a sponsor they'll be Opseat-ed to nonexistence.
So he just has to get baby ads like every other little youtuber

To be honest, Tut's tips are rather large. He did one $1, but all the rest have been a minimum of $50. He's done multiple $100 and one $250 tip. They're smaller than what he cheered, I guess, but the cheers were done in one stream, and that was it. Thus far, Tut's name has been called out on all of his tips, although until yesterday, Phil pretty much always added the caveat of "let's hope it's legit".
