The furry "community" is inherently one that's full of sexual deviants, and the clique culture and lack of any actual central authority means alot of people with actually harmful sexual interests gang up and form groups that are very hard to remove from the root. Plus, it's not like furries have a pope that excommunicates people.

The recent garbage SJW id politics just gives them a convenient cover. It's why someone can respond to a post full of nothing but documentation about people being harmful around children with "You called this grown ass man that decided to start identifying as a woman with no actual attempts to pass a man and not a woman so you're the real villain here!" and deflect attention to a lot of petty bs or outright misinfo because outrage that's easy to act against (like labeling an actually diverse site evil to hurt their fee fees and save Twitter) is easier to deal with than serious shit like cutting out a deep network of child abusers and their abettors from your community. Especially when they're also popular artists, which are the upper caste in the furry community. It gives people like Marl room to breathe because a bunch of people that just want their little furry woke bubble will do anything to protect it even if it's harboring child exploiters.

Let us also not forget the rather recent statement that sex is integral to the characters, that one of the most recent sketches shows how casual sexual activities are handled between characters. This is not a good place for children to be.

I think less people would even have issues if Floraverse did not portray most of its rapey scenes as normal and healthy, would be entirely 18+ (With that I mean that the entire comic, even SFW was for adults, not the general public) and did not depict purposefully young looking characters having sex.

Everyone keeps pointing at the past, but most things have happened within the last year.

I get that they're actively trying to omit details to confuse thei followers, but people are just going to see the discourse, read it from the source (because drama is entertaining, even if you don't go in intending to side with X or Y), and see that:

Seriously, those two are not relevant enough to orchestrate a smear campaign that would make our political parties' campaign advisers blush. This isn't some 10-year-old deep state slander op that people have been meticulously orchestrating since they were in late elementary school -- to the point that the only thing keeping Eevee and Glip's careers alive is the hope a single person backs down (or a prosecutor with kids doesn't become aware of the case and just go full momma bear with the proceedings) -- because they're a threat to online society as we know it. It's a mediocre professional programmer and a mediocre professional artist who spend all their time working on a mediocre comic. There's a difference between writing complex characters and settings, and another one is that the audience doesn't understand what is going on.
