I think it was more something like he considered Anglin to be one of the more "honest" in his beliefs. Nah Sargon just basically told Anglin that he would have respect for him for being honest if he went full lebensraum and einsatzgruppen NeoNazi, but Anglin didn't fall for the obvious trap. Anglin has admitted many times that he isn't really as Nazi as he presents

Anglin's not a Nazi - he's a antisemite, racist and neo confederate. Neo confederates want to get rid of non whites but after that they want a small state in the sense that public spending as a percentage of GDP would be lower than it is currently in the US.

If you want an example of a modern Nazi it would be someone like Richard Spencer who wants universal health care in his ethnostate. I.e. like Anglin he wants to get rid of non whites but after that public spending as a percentage of GDP would be higher than the US, perhaps at Scandinavian levels. Nazi germany of course had staggeringly high levels of public spending.

Anglin's more like a anti PC troll and they tend to be anti censorship. Spencer has admitted he doesn't actually believe in free speech. I.e. Anglin wants to bring back the confederacy where as far as I can see the state didn't control speech though it was controlled by people challenging each other to duels which could be viewed as a sort of libertarian censorship. Spencer wants full on National Socialism with a state run media.

So as usual Sargon is missing the point and conflating neoconfederates and Nazis. Actually the far right is a bit like the far left - there are almost as many political ideologies as their are activists.
