All right, so in addition to replacing "race" with ancestry, in the second
fucking page of the book, being given precedent even over the all-important
Rule Zero, is
this fucking three segment-long abomination:
We're a paragraph in, and it's only going to get worse.
Yes, you read this correctly.
You are not allowed to do anything that offends another player according to these rules. If someone takes issue with a character concept of yours, you are mandated to change it according to Pathfinder's own rules. You aren't even allowed to argue, according to this. Don't worry though, the fucking next segment is, if anything, even
worse.
Holy. Fucking.
Shit. They did it, the absolute madmen.
If you missed it, check the second paragraph's second sentence. Pathfinder's new edition has rules that specifically mandate that every single permutation of race, gender, disability, religion, and every other demographic in existence has the right to be in your game, even if the people
of those identities aren't at your table. If you don't do it, according to the game's rules, you're doing it wrong and not enforcing the social contract of the game. I will point out, again, that Pathfinder
does not have a Rule Zero section; this fucking thing is literally right at the start of the PDF.
This is entirely what they intended, too,
as evidenced by the staff response on Paizo's forums.
I have rarely laughed harder than I have throughout this, and I'm fairly sure that if you read this far, you're laughing
just as hard.
