Who knows long term. Nike has been in a slump for a while and this is likely their way of taking back the spotlight from the other shoe makers. It'll be seen long term if people will remember or even care about any of this.
Yeah, the article is sort of

And also quote Trump talking about the Ad as a bad idea; to show Trump is wrong and resisting him is the right & profitable thing to do, despite Trump having zero personal impact on Nike's performance. Why not quote one of dozens of other people questioning the wisdom of the ad?
I dunno, I guess Nike's ad matters to me. I don't buy their shoes but I got a fair number of gym clothes from them. Never again unless they publicly walk back from the ad - which I know they won't do. (I understand they had him on the payroll since before he went full woke, so wouldn't need a full separation, just "hey that was a really dumb idea, we shouldn't have gotten involved in a politicized movement without a bit more thought"). I'm not going to be a retard and burn my nike shit -they already have my money. But I'm not buying anything else from them and will encouraging anyone I know to avoid them.
He also is the one who caused race relations to go to shit in the USA, in the 00's they were talking about a post-racial America. He singelehandy brought it down to the 1960's. He loved to race-bait like fuck.
He's from the Chicongo school of politics, which is all about race baiting. Got to keep them niggers scared and on the plantation by making them scared of the Polease, and that you are the only thing standing between them and the cops rounding up every black person and putting them in jail. If you don't vote D, the police will be back to actually enforcing laws and you'll need to act like civilized human beings.
Completely coincidental and definitely unrelated, Chicago has some of the worst gun violence in the nation despite some of the strictest gun laws.
