Basically, powermods clique are trying to push plebbit admins to ban subreddits which they regard as hate speech (read: which they don't like)

It's like the 2015 blackout, but instead of going private we will ban every participant of a hateful harassing subreddit from as many subreddits as possible. Unlike the blackout, this will only effect the cause of the problem
What are the intentions of this banout?
Our intentions are to force the admins to take action on the hatefilled subreddits that they currently allow to get away with sitewide rule violations.

The night of Wednesday, 31st of October. This is the night of Banoween. If the admins want to do something quickly, they will have to bring people in and cause interruptions.
Update Our terms have been accepted and Phase 1 is complete. The new Banout date is the night of Thursday, 21st of November. This the night before thanks giving, if the admins want to do something quickly they will have to bring people in and cause interruptions.

So it's a really douchey 'secret op' to get the subreddits they hate banned. Personally, I've never used a subreddit beyond game mod reddits and a few niche ones focused on specific genres of movies, particularly for horror and found footage, so I could get nice recommendations. Still pretty shitty though.

I don't understand how a group of people can get this assmad that people are saying things they don't like, in places they don't have to look at. Back in February ShaneH7646 (the creator of /r/thebanout201
was doxed on pastebin, and the source was whois info for his website. As further proof, if you look up the domain on that site now it'll say it's hidden due to a request from the site owner, a telltale sign that it's correct. Furthermore, the email on his YouTube channel matches up to the pastebin info and the whois listing.The paste: https://archive.is/fnzPb

Edit: Did some more research and what happened according to secondhand accounts was Shane joined the subreddit's moderation team, somebody just so happened to post some kid faceswapped onto an adult porn star, then reported it to the admins to get it removed when the new rule hit. While it's a secondhand account, this isn't a new tactic at all.
