I'm really impressed with the magnitude of the SGG implosion over the past few days. Jesse Singal is semi-openly calling him out. A feminist activist calls him out by (real) name in a blog.
Possibly it won't be too long before Katherine Cross and Zoe actually start openly discussing their experiences with Jake and referring to him by name.

Those are the high functioning sociopaths who end up relatively successful, albeit with chaotic lives.
The low functioning sociopaths fill prisons because they're too dumb to get away with their crimes.
Jake has all the inability to empathize with anyone that any other sociopath has, but is also too lazy and cowardly even to be one of the criminals filling prisons.

High functioning sociopaths are the charming variety. Jake is a low-functioning sociopath. Fortunately for his poor mother, his anti-social traits don't present as violence, but just a disregard for social conventions (like moving your ass out of your mom's house before you hit 40) and no regard for other's rights (I don't think it's ever registered with him how much of a burden he is to his mom, and if it has, he clearly doesn't care or he'd have done something to help her). He truly expects someone to care for him forever, and can't grasp how idiotic that desire is. The charming, suave criminal genius is mostly a Hollywood invention. Most sociopaths are like Jake, it's obvious at first glance something's amiss, but most at least try to hide it. Jake has a sign floating above his head that says "I"m a useless freak. Avoid me at all costs."

Eh, I see troons (as opposed to trans) as those who claim a gender\identity while doing the minimum to actually conform to it or being so obviously unable to do so that it's a waste of time. So Jake would be like... the trooniest troon.
His latest posts just reinforce that he isn't a woman, doesn't want to be a woman, he just imagines that women get to go through life as though they're an 8 year old girl that everyone takes care of. Maybe he can borrow Chris Chan's "I'm done adulting" shirt... as if he ever started.

I have no doubt that in Jake's head, he's the chessmaster outsmarting neo-Nazis at every turn and just this close to smooth-talking his way into a high-paid game post with a harem of cute nerd girls running their fingers through his beard. We know that he lies in the hope of manipulating emotions, and he doesn't care how that affects others. For instance, he accuses his mother of being "horribly abusive." He pretends to have a deceased younger brother. He constantly lies about his "transition" depending on who he's talking to.
Trouble is, he doesn't really interact with the world outside of the limited environment of Twitter, where everyone is, to some extent, projecting an image. I suspect he sees other people as basically NPCs, and it's quite bewildering when people do something unexpected like, for example, find incontrovertible proof that he's Jake Alley. Most sociopaths get to the top of the tree because they practice their lies a lot in the real world.
I'd really love to see one of Jake's therapy sessions, where he's dealing with someone who's trained to spot bullshit. Does he clam up, or does he go full force with his "horrible living situation" "neo Nazi" bullshit?

I'm assuming he doesn't bring it up because the therapist would rape and murder him with questions like "If your mom's trying to kill you, shouldn't you call the cops?"
Or even better: "As a mandatory reporter under Connecticut law, I'm legally required to go to the authorities with any reasonable suspicions I have that a disabled person is being mistreated. Care to tell that story again?"

It really cannot be overstated enough how much he deserves to be outed and torn down just for his treatment of his mom. I'm sorry, but my rule of thumb is always that unless your mom is committing Onision or Mama Nails or Margot or Schofield (you know, lolcow) levels of shitheadedness at you, then you really owe it to her to be civil and not be a stain on her conscience or soul or whatever you believe is there

Even if she was the shittiest mum in the USA, the only thing keeping Jake under her roof is Jake. If you choose to live at home with your "abusive" parent for 20 years after becoming an adult, you don't get to complain about how they treat you - nobody is forcing you to stay.

You know, it's weird Jake hasn't used his over-25 status to get Pell Grants and Ford Loans somewhere super-cheap with an application a monkey could do. He could take out full cost-of-living until he'd gotten enough undergrad credits that they told him to graduate or stop getting loans. Lots of people with no skills and no ability to make it on their own get a hovel this way for a few years and spend themselves silly on federal loans. And if you are totally disabled after, certifiably so, they'll cancel the loans. It's honestly really surprising he hasn't done this grift, a non-selective college that gives B's just for showing up would be a great place for him to get away from all the things he claims are holding him back.

Does it involve whining on Twitter? Then he's not going to do it. Get out of the house? Not going to do it. Be even slightly proactive? Not going to do it. Back when he went to cons (with as much paid for by other people as he could demand), maybe - but even then it was only once a year and he was hardly sociable then, considering he's not made a single friend from the experience of being out in public.
He seems to leave the house less than once a month. Going outside is anathema to him. He's practically one of Charlie Bucket's bed-ridden grandparents at this point, except they had lives beforehand.
